Certainly not for these past two games. 2 of those 3 goals were softies.

Still don't undertand why Bayda is dressed ahead of Sutter, that certainly can't help the kid's confidence.

and why Ryan is played ahead of Jokinen?

and why Larose is given lots of PP time?

Those to. I figured that goal against the Lightning could've served as a springboard for Jokinen's play, yet he hasn't even really be given a chance to build upon it. As for LaRose, perhaps it could be explained as a showcase although I still question what type of value a player like LaRose would have at the deadline.

LaRose and Cullen are probably getting PP time because for a good period, they were our only offense. A little reward, maybe?

Peter McNab showing a bit of ignorance to your Canes. Apparently the last 'major' deal by a Cup winner was the Avalanche trading for Rob Blake. I'm assuming that he didn't know the Hurricanes traded for Doug Weight and Mark Recchi.

I think a lot of folks try to forget that season. The Weight deal is major because he was a guy that was expected to be a real bidding war for and Carolina snuck in there and got him.

Ruutu was pissed off game is about to end and he wasn't in the box yet, so he had to delay the game.

There's Ruutu's dumbass penalty of the game. You knew he was good for it.

Yeah, I heard that and was going to comment, but then I thought he might specifically be talking about deadline day, and Weight was acquired in January of 06.

Ruutu trying to mix it up. Can't always be cross-checking/holding penalties, right, Ruuts?

Glad I wasn't the only person that noticed that Ruutu hadn't made some noise.

Didn't catch that. Heck you could even argue that the Wings adding Stuart at the deadline last year was pretty major in helping them win the cup, although they probably would have won the cup anyway. Can't say the same for us without Weight and Recchi with Cole out of the lineup.

Even with our best player we can't score on a breakaway.
