Lapierre

It will help enormously once we get Tanguay back (though give him some time to find his groove). One concern I have has been the recent drop in Lapierre's & linemates play. Leaving aside that the whole team has sucked until the last few games, I think Lapierre has a very important role to play with this team. As we know, he's become a very solid player this season and all kudos to him. I would just like to see him get back to playing with that same energy, efficiency, and tenacity that has made him so good when others have been mediocre. Lapierre is obviously the type of player that sparks others-- would just like to see more of the young stud that we've seen throughout much of this season.

As much as I was not high on his play last season, I think Lapierre deserves a pass for his slow down in play of late.

As crazy as it sounds, the loss of Lats really hurt him. Lats size and play down low gave a lot of space to Lapierre.

You're right-- I am just saying that we need him playing like he was earlier for the team to be really successful the remainder of this season. I personally love this kid-- I've been itching for the rebirth of the Brian Skrudland, Mike McPhee, Mike Keane prototypes. IMO, Lapierre has the potential to be better than those "greats."

That's why I think playing with MaxPac might help him bring his game back. For some reason I wouldn't mind playing Tanguay with them when he comes back. Either that or switch Tanguay for Higgins. For some reasons I wouldn't feel safe with a MaxPac-Lappy-D'Agger third line.

The only reason why he is not scoring as much lately is because they are playing is line against the top lines lately. He does a great job at that.
