PIT, MTL Rumors from Sunday

In general, Sunday mornings are very peaceful in the hockeyworld. For whatever reason, not today. I have been getting calls and texts for the last hour—since 5:45 am.

- “canadiens are 95% ready to pull the trigger on vinny or jay bo- possible even this morning. Not likely, but worth looking into.”

- “penguins. Watch them this morning. Big deal may be imminent.”

- “habs could truly shock people today.”

- “I would be shocked if today turned out to be ‘just another Sunday’”

- “at least 4 minor deals and 2 maj could hit by tonight or tomorrow.”

95% isn't very likely? I love how he hedges his bets.

With the way the Panthers are playing, they'd need to give up something pretty significant for Bouw.

What's worth more to Florida, assets for next season or the near future or income from 2+ playoff games?

I would say making the playoffs. They have lots of future assets.

There's several threads where this has been talked about at length.

People have to stop going to eklund's site. Hopefully he runs out of money and gets a real job.

Yeah, Eklund is great at a whole lot of nothing. Wait, something major could be happening right now....nevermind. I'll report back. Oh. No, it was just my BB reminder to take my meds. WAIT! Maybe something is happening now! Maybe!

It keeps Florida relevant for a few more weeks. Soak it in.

"Burke" also touches on his dealings with the media about trade rumors:
Ran into Eklund last night. He kept grilling me about trades and rumors. Finally I just paid him for the pizza and slammed the door.

Guess the Twitter article is bogus. Someone pretending to be Burke. Thats what Eklund is saying anyway. Said he confirmed it with Burke. Kinda makes sense, what was said in that article is pretty rude. Still hilarious though.

These 3 words should never be put in the same paragraph.

Yeah, the guy who writes DownGoesBrown does it. Hilarious though, I've been checking in every few days to see what's new.

Edit: Wait, Eklund wrote about this Twitter feed? And said he contacted Burke himself to ask about it? That would've been hilarious to hear if it's true.

For downgoesbrown? He basically says that he writes it in the blog somewhere. Actually, strike that, his new post addresses it.

http://http://www.downgoesbrown.com/

Edit: And as a free bonus he makes fun of Eklund. Brilliant.

Ok, I just read the Eklund post. He is officially the most sanctimonious man alive. The puck daddy post was pretty clear that it was a joke - I can't believe that a "responsible blogger" like Eklund would fall for it.

This is what he said about Eklund.

Quote:
I'm not sure which is stranger, the idea of Eklund taking a stand against anonymous online fakers, or that even when reporting the incredibly obvious Eklund is still 12 hours behind the mainstream media.
Just awesome.
