Must've had this on the back burner for a bit. Good move for the Rangers, Torts will whip those guys into shape.

Coaching isn't the problem, it's the GM.

I like him on TSN. Legitimate voice. Guy won a cup a few years ago. Better than Pierre.

I would agree. But you have to think that something is wrong if a guy like Gomez is struggling as bad as he is.

That was INCREDIBLY fast.
Almost as if they signed Tortorella before they fired Renney.
Almost....

Ron Wilson in Toronto, Tortorella in New York, the reporters over there must be so happy to have so much potential material to work with!

Jim Dowd said on NHL Live today that the Rags had asked permission to speak to Torts back when he was in Tampa or something like that...so, he's a guy that's been on their radar for quite some time now...not a big surprise...
2 and a half hours is a quick turnaround time regardless...

Hate to do this again, but why is this on this forum? Shouldn't this be in the NHL forum? This isn't a player.

They've made up. Brooks already has endorsed this move.

If you don't have guys that consistently put the puck in the net, his numbers are going to suffer. He doesn't score that much these days, so you better give him someone that can score.

It was only a matter of time before he was going to get another job...interesting gig to get in that media market.
