Flyers (and Sixers) Freeze Season Ticket Prices For Next Season.

http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelp...3/daily3.html?

Quote:
Comcast-Spectacor said Monday it will not raise ticket prices for Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia 76ers games next season.

...

Comcast-Spectacor is also implementing a new payment plan for season ticket holders of the Flyers and 76ers. The Flyers now have a nine-month payment plan while the Sixers have a 10-month payment plan, both of which can reduce the monthly installments. Additionally, the company is providing more advance notice on renewal dates and information to allow customers to pre-plan for payment dates.

I like the sound of that. The only thing better would be if they decreased their prices.

Out of curiosity, what are prices like in the Wachovia Center?

This is good news, although I don't know what alternative they had. I hope they start to knock down the prices on some of the single game tickets, although it's obvious they don't have to. It's quite painful to my wallet to drop 50 bucks on a ticket every time I find myself back home.

Great news! Crappy economy and a class act move by the spectacor! Even if the prices went up, I highly doubt our attendance would shrink but it is definitely a plus.

I've got the cheapest seats in the building at $2024 per season (for 2).

Wow. That's awesome.

I'm not sure about season's tickets, but the cheapest single game tickets are $50 a pop, before tax and service charges (~$10) at GM Place in Vancouver.

I usually drop about $150 per game on two seats.

2024/2=1012

1012/41 games= $24.68 per game, per ticket

sweet deal!

I think its hard to have a bad seat in the Wachovia Center anyway, but I still think the closer the better.

One day I want to watch a game right behind the glass. Someday I might spring for it, just to try it. I had Diamond Clube seats at a Phils game before. All I can say is WOW. AWESOME!

I'll be shocked if attendance doesn't go down a bit next year. However, unemployment amongst the demographic that is buying up season tickets hasn't jumped up all that much, so it's possible it won't be too affected.

I feel your pain.

If only I was a Coyotes fan. With a student ID tickets are only $10 Tues-Thurs and parking is free. But then I remember how much it would suck to be Coyotes fan and hug my Mike Richards jersey
