Michal Handzus

I was wondering why Handzus is having such a great year for us and I noticed a little detail. He has 78 PIM in 71 games this season. I have noticed watching him he is using his size much more to his advantage and even being more physical. He is a pretty dirty player if you watch all the little things he does like the way he constantly sends guys into the boards head first. None have been major penalties though. Well just wanted to boast about Handzus's accomplishments this season and hopefully he'll continue this and be a great 2nd line center for us for years to come.

I don't have the numbers in front of me but I think his offensive numbers were similar last year. I think he ended up around 20 goals last year as well. He is a good, steady player that can score timely goals and play good defense. Perfect 2nd line center.

He got a little over 40 points last year if he keeps up is PPG pace he will end this season with 60+ points.

He's awesome, but her needs to cut that fro. There are too many Alfredsson comparisons already.

I like the fro! Last year, he played with guys like Brashear and Somik, got 44 points and 23 goals. This year, he's actually played with talent and he could hit 60 points.

He should keep the hair, it's his power source.

He's very talanted. Imagine what he could do if he was just a little bit faster.

I like the hair, it's style, personality. Handzus is quietly having a very good year, but a key part of it is because of his RW, who has made every line that he has played on effective all year long. Handzus does work well with LeClair in tandem too, last year they had inconsistent but generally good results.

Remember he had a bruised rib bothering him early in the year and LeClair had weaker back and shoulders still healing and improving month by month so the reason for their surge in second half ofthe season has to do with being fully recovered which is when Handzus went on his tear. Lets hope Captain Kangaroo the line wrecker doesn't toy with these lines that are clicking.

To put my own cynical spin on things: this is the year his contract is up.
