If Florida comes calling dangling a pair of 1st round selections their own and the Jay Bow one acquired then Burke might be very interested in listening.
The Kaberle to Flordia just seems to fit so well. Flordia gets an adequte replacement for Boumeester on a great deal for a couple of years. What you suggested is a possibility but I can see a team from the west being involved in a three way deal being more likely.

I hate how they paint the whole fan base as a bunch of idiots.
That deal almost happened when Pronger got out of Edmonton. Lowe should have made that deal, would have turned out well for both teams. But now, Kaberle for Pronger doesn't seem interesting at all. Not sure where the author got that stupid idea, he must have a time machine.

I'd like to see him on a powerplay with Crosby, Malkin, Gonchar and maybe Sykora. Think that would be fun to watch.

.......or maybe not Malkin?

I don't think Kaberle gets moved at the deadline. It's a tougher deal to make than people realize. Burke has to get a deal he likes & it has to be a place where Tomas wants to go. A list of just 10 places makes it harder to make a deal.

I think Kaberle is going to get dealt in the summer because of the fact any team can bid for him.

Lowe wanted to make that deal, it was the Leafs who would not part with Steen that nixed it.

Alexander Steen is crap enough said. What a waste of a first round pick that was. Why couldn't he have been a Zach Parise ?

So Kaberle doesn't want to go West

So basically it is this

Kaberle = No desire to win Stanley Cup

Why stop at Parise? Why not a Gretzky or an Ovechkin?
