On cyberpresse.ca they state that he would be back only if the Habs go deep in the playoff

kyle was 18 or so years old when that happened and not 38 which also factors into the equation

Given that this is a quote by Lang himself, it seems more reliable / likely. Third round perhaps? If we make it, of course...

And it is even more doubtful he'll be able to step right in and play playoff hockey. He'd likely be relegated to fourth line + spot PP duty. So I'd say he's basically done for the year.

Definitely positive news and I'm happy Lang is recovering well, but let's not get too excited gentlemen.

It's not only a matter of healing from the injury, but also recovering strength and conditioning that will be affected by this. I am a huge Lang booster, but I doubt that he will be able to come back and play effectively unless it is in May or later.

If Lang is able to comeback during the play-offs it would be a huge help! If they make it to the second round, having a Fresh Lang come in would help them a lot and I sure hope he does.. He seems like a great team guy and he's also a big body..

Go Lang Go!!!

Lang to come back...

...in late May, if the team lasts that long.

From the horse's mouth on CKAC.

They should stick Lang behind the bench as soon as he can walk.

lol, man come on I mean do you rly think he's going to make the lineup IF IF IF we make it that far in the playoffs, after months and months of recovering and next to no on-ice practice ?

To throw him in the middle of a playoff serie would be suicide...He's not Crosby man. And he's like 120 years old.

But yeah, I didn't expect him to be ripped like that. It breaks the "Fat" stereotype

I would put Lang on the ice when there's 1 minute remaining to the Stanley Cup Finals game 7 against the Blackhawks.

Reading this makes me sad.

That injury couldn't happen to a worse guy. He was playing great, always seeing things positively and adding a great dose of leadership and calm to the locker room.

If he can heal fully and give us the same kind of performance he gave us this year, I'm definitely for bringing him back.
