I dont think anyone thought it would continue. And looky there, after 9 game streak, no more offense from him... Sounds about right.

We know... he sucks.

Then again, not many guys on the team are posting numbers that are much better.

Thank you Captain Obvious!

Not quite sure of the point of this thread other than OP's ability to look at stat sheets

It was a similar pattern in Minny last year. 13 points in his first 21 games, 1 point (an assist) in his last 34 games. Obviously some of it results from lack of ice time, but lack of ice time first results from poor play.

omg. give it a rest already. hes weak, we get it.

lets take a look at gomez or drury or redden on a points per minute of ice time basis. ill bet that makes voros look slightly better.

whatever. hes not the problem.

Have to agree here, scoring points and goals in not the game Aaron Voros should be asked to bring to a hockey team. The problem is fans got spoiled with Avery and expected Voros to fill all aspects of his game on the ice, which is very unfair to Voros. Avery is obviously the more talented hockey player offensively. Just watching Voros if he puts up 15-20 goals I think that is a GREAT season for him considering the lack of tools he has. Maybe if the guys who were brought in to score would score we woudln't expect miracles from players who can't deliver them.

what is Voros' role? He doesn't fight much. He doesn't consistently play phyisically. He doesn't always play hard. Sure it's unfair to expect him to score, but what should we expect him to do?

His role?

Simple: healthy scratch, at best.

He is not an NHL regular-caliber player. He does not belong in the top 12. I'm not even sure he belongs in the NHL, at all.

Maybe he's a regular on the Pisles. Or Atlanta.

Play a solid 8-10 mins a game on the 4th line where he belongs? Explain to him his role exactly and i'm sure he can give us a solid 10 mins of phyical play a night.

that is exactly what Minnesota fans warned us about. They said he was streaky and scored in bunches so it's possible he could have a nice little streak towards the end of the season. right?

Voros did the same thing last season. He fooled people such as myself that actually thought he'd be a decent player... a power forward, even. Turns out he can't even bring himself to play physically on a regular basis, let alone score goals, or really contribute anything offensively for that matter.

Kind of indicative of the rest of the team. Hot start and nothing since then.

Hollweg (waived) .....yep Voros seems to replace him perfectly.

Voros sucks about as much as Coldplay [the band, not the poster] does.

God they're awful.
