I'm not familiar with him. Can someone describe what kind of player he is and if he represents any sort of upgrade for us?

Re-entry? So does he come at half price? Bringing in extra forwards may mean that deals are in place to move others out.

Wow. I called this yesterday saying that it could be a possible Voros replacement. Bell on re-entry makes 1.1(not prorated) compared to Voros' obvious 1 million. While I haven't seen Bell play in a while, I think it's a good move because he is a better skater and is more physical. And it just gives Tortorella more options.

Wonder how this effects any move for Avery.

just repeated on Leafslunch. If this means Voros is gone, fine. Otherwise, W. T. F.

If he could reclaim his Chicago form, that'd be awesome, but...in the meantime just keep him away from the sauce

His salary is 1.1 not prorated so it doesn't seem like a high risk move.

He'll join his mates tonight. Marlies are in town so he doesn't have to go far. I wouldn't be surprised if he's already practicing with the Rangers, they're at the ACC right now in front of 14,000 children who are there to watch the teams practice. Actually, the Marlies are there too to practice, so he'll just pack his equipment and move across the hall-way. Pretty damned funny.

Anyway, great pick up? He wasn't even good enough to play on the Leafs.

Looking at his career stats, he was a 50 point player in Chicago, which I'd take. I don't know what's happened to him since.

Bell was bad in San Jose and bad in Toronto. He has size but he doesn't skate enough to use it. He will play a little physical, but his scoring ability just isn't there. As a 4th line role player he might be a good guy but don't expect too much. He was in the AHL for a reason.

Who cares, he's terrible. Couldn't score on a line with Thornton and Cheechoo.

Another example of Sather shooting in the dark hoping he hits something.

I guess this is what you do when your hands are tied (self imposed) in relation to the cap.

I bet this fits with the Dawes to Calgary rumor. Gotta get a body to play the wing if you're going to move him.
