I actually agree. Why not throw him right away and see what he can do? This team is a mess right now, and plenty of players deserve to be riding the pine. Just put him in and give him a shot. Surely he realizes he isn't getting many more chances, so he'll either crumble like the loser that everyone sees him as, or he'll take this chance to show he still has value. If he crumbles, he'll fit right in with the rest of the roster, and if he doesn't, good for us.

What have we got to lose?

Mark Bell once had genuine potential as a power forward, but that was several years ago. He was doing very little in the AHL this year.

Think of Brad Isbister, but with a drinking problem.

For whom the Bell tolls, time marches on

Bell to Hartford

http://stats.theahl.com/hm/transacti...&f_team_id=307

The Rangers could assign him to Hartford w/o waivers

Quote:
13.22 When a Club claims a Player on Regular, Re-Entry or Unconditional Waivers,
and, subsequently, in the same season it requests Waivers on the same Player and the
original owning Club is the successful and only Club making a Waiver claim, then the
original owning Club shall be entitled to Loan such Player to a club in another league
within thirty days without further Waivers being asked; provided that such Player has not
participated in ten or more NHL Games (cumulative) and remained on an NHL roster
more than thirty days (cumulative) following such successful claim
.

makes sense.....clear the space now

he would be a good call up. At this point too many forwards and they need the spot for Avery lets remember

he is so getting picked up tommorow

As for why would Prucha be dealt.......well he is a small player and he makes 1.6. He is gone next year for sure. They wont offer a raise and to be fair to him why would he want to come back after the past two years

I think a team like LA would be good for him to get ice time and score some goals. I bet he does well elsewhere. Also same reason I move Dawes is the size thing. He will score 20 goals in this league but if he gets back a top 6 do it

on this board someone put a statement saying he doesnt have to clear........so he is in Hartford. I would expect not to see him this year unless someone goes down

Replaces Avery in Hartford though,haha........honestly that is what I think basically happens
