Good to see that someone has given him a chance.

Tip for NY: only play Bell against the Senators.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you cannot trade players you have picked up off of waivers (for a year).

You couldn't be more wrong. Burke said in an interview last week that he would be bringing all the guys up from the farm that could be on an NHL roster or that he felt could be. He named Bell, Deveraux Battaglia and Newburry. He also said that a team had inquired about one of the players. I'll now assume that was the Rangers. It`s the same thing he did for Bryzgalov.

Nah, I think you're thinking of offer sheets...

I'm pretty sure for a player claimed off waivers to be traded, he would need to be offered at waiver price to all teams that put in an unsuccessful claim for him before a trade can be consummated...

As for the mentions of Avery, had a chance to see former-GM Neil Smith last night (surprisingly interesting) and he said that Avery and Tortorella being together will not happen...I believe he used the word "nonstarter" which is hardly groundbreaking, but I think it's very accurate...

Also, Ranger fans, what happened to Voros? Didn't he have a ridiculous start to the year? I know he's not a big time scorer and that wouldn't last but...what broke?

Odd move, but it could work out I suppose.

As someone said earlier, seems like they are throwing stuff at a wall and seeing what fits.

the Rangers fans will be pleasantly surprised with Bell. I think especially considering he`s playing for his future now. As a leafs fan I liked him and wasn`t happy they sent him down for the season for this simple reason. He could have been moved for a late pick at worst. He`ll be a nice addition to your team. He`s definately an upgrade over Voros for the guy who posted asking earlier.

I still remember June 2007 Leafs traded for Bell and Toskala Jeff Marek came on my local radio station as a guest once a week in the morrning for a little segment, he said that Mark Bell is going to score 20 goals 50 points and 100+ min in good penalties, wow how times have changed or Jeff Marek is a Leaf homer, take your pick.

Considering Sather said he loves Avery and will make Tortorella love him. I doubt Bell makes him say no about Sean

Voros.

He did the same thing with Minnesota last year. Apparently his body can't handle more than 10 games.
