Unless the Oil fall out of contention, I would think they'd want a roster player in return.

No way from Boston. Colborne is close to untouchable in my book.

Depends on what the team who wants him has an abundance of. LA doesn't like giving up picks, Pitts doesn't have a lot left in the farm. LA would give prospects Pits would give a pick.

Cole's value is going to be something like:

Low pick + mid prospect or med pick + low prospect or high pick or high prospect.

What the buying team gives is mostly dependent on how bad they want Cole and what they have available. I'd say there's plenty of options open for teams to negotiate on the price, but if it was justa 1st for Cole there'd probably be teams interested...not for 1st plus prospect though, probably not 2nd + prospect either.

I don't want to bring the Thornton comparisons into this... Maybe a bit like Vincent Lecavalier, though not on his level.

Anything from a Joe Thornton to an Oleg Kvasha.

The kid has a sick skill set, but will be pay the price?

Cole isn't returning a first rounder.

I'd gladly give up a first for Cole.

But I wouldn't give up Colborne. Like others have said, awesome skill set: size, speed, skill and hockey sense. He just needs to learn to play with more urgency.

The B's also have a 3rd round pick (no 2nd in 09), so I'd also be OK giving up a 3rd and a mid-level prospect like Karsums, who could play right now.

I watched lots of Colbourne in the AJ.

I don't think the B's would give him up quite yet, nor would the Oilers really be interested in someone that won't make an impact for 2 years atleast, we have enough of those.

Carl Soderberg on the other hand......
