That's a tough call. He doesn't seem to have that cut throat attitude I'd like to see with a GM. Then again, he might have a better idea of how to build a team from the ground up as opposed to forcing the matter with UFA signings. Who knows?

On that same note, I was so envious of LA Kings fans this afternoon when Dean Lombardi was on NHL Live. The guy clearly knows how to run an organization and has a fantastic pulse on the development of his players and prospects. If anyone wants to catch the replay at 5pm, it's really a fantastic interview and I guarantee it will make you wish you could magically switch out Sather with Lombardi.

You really appreciate Renney when you remember Trottier, and Lowe... I thought Renney did an excellent job - though the change came at the right time. I hope they keep him on board in some capacity.
