Is it just me or does Peltonen look like he's been really off the pats three games? Frolik seems to have found his legs again, though, so that's good.

Yeah, because nothing screams "legitimate professional sports league" like forgoing TV coverage in favor of ad-supported web streams...

Why not? They should keep the local TV feeds but also broadcast on the web. More people probably have broadband than Versus sadly. It's the future of TV anyway...

Campbell and Dubinsky really don't like each other, they looked ready to go again.

Because they need a TV deal. They make money off of it. And, like said in the post above, "nothing screams 'legitimate professional sports league' like forgoing TV coverage in favor of ad-supported web streams..."

Ballard is having a great game! Maybe trying to prove he's ready to be the teams #1?

Whats the deal with those boards? Are they just trampolines painted to look like boards?

Well, we looked pretty horrible in that period... Hopefully they adjust between periods.

There we go, lets start the 2nd off right guys. C'mon, we have to play better than this, at least in our own zone.

Well the local TV deals would bring in more since they would be shown to a wider audience, but I see your point. Although I do think the future of TV will eventually merge with the internet...ABC, Fox, NBC are already starting the shift with legal solutions. Plus, when you are on a site you can't change the channel.

More on topic. Not a good period for the Panthers.

I'd like to see Booth or Zed take Kreps spot on Weiss' line and move Nate to the wing with Kreps as center, at least for a few shifts to see what happens.

It was fun as long as it last. But you canīt even buy to watch games here in Finland. No sense.

Hate to sound like a homer, but I didn't see much of a trip. Nice to see a call going our way.

Anderson looks like he get rid of the rust.

The back checking looks weak tonight.

Horton is making some nice passes.

Would like to see the fourth line get more time.

Gomez ran into Anderson. He took him out of the play. Peltonen was going to get called for a penalty but he needed to at least make a better effort to hold him or trip him or take Naslund down.

Rangers look better under Torts. Much more flow to their game.

Our powerplay is horrible. Can we reject a man advantage?

We look so slow out there. I can't believe we're playing so poorly against this team. The Rangers have scored less then 2 goals in 11 of their last 13 games. If we lose this game tonight we really need to reconsider our chances at the playoffs.

This team needs offense so badly.

That's a few times now. A Ranger was tripped up int he neutral zone and that went unnoticed by the officials.

Rosival's stick was there but Booth definitely embellished it. Good opportunity to get back in this game real fast.

I was thinking the same thing. Kreps looks good tonight. As a matter of fact, he looks good every time he gets a chance to play on an offensive line. He can skate, has good vision, a decent shot and wins faceoffs. I think he could work well with Horton and Booth who are both scorers.

If we don't score this period, I can see PDeb switching the lines around for the 3rd.

great job getting to the net on that redirection but... he was caught on that pinch that led to goal. can't blame it on him completely but that was a little risky with their top line out there. devo tried to get back and cover for him but he couldn't catch up to gomez.

odd period and a pattern we've seen in the first before, imo - not a great start, a little slow and unsteady; then a nice push, good speed, good forecheck/backcheck; then goal against and the team sags. they've recovered before tho. they need to at least generate *something* on this gift PP to start the 2nd. don't need a goal but good pressure and some shots would be nice.

andy's looked ok, imo.

Ballard does tend to gamble, I agree. But that's what makes him so exciting. But most of the time he manages to pull it off, so it's working for him.

Totally agreement on the poor backchecking. Forwards need to wake up. Hopefully they get yelled at a lot.

Listening to Kitchener talk between periods made me laugh. I'm always impressed by how cool, calm, rational and collected they remain. If they had us (meaning all of us here on the board) it would be more Tortorella-like, I think.

I'm not a fan of Kitchen. Ever since he took over the defense, they've played worse. IMO, Kingston did a good job with the D.
