Package this plug along with his buddies Brisebois and Bouillon for another top 6 D man. If that's even possible

Peace out Dandy.

Dandenault DEMANDS trade??? A little dramatic?? Dandy is in no position to 'demand' anything!

I checked the link, funny - it says he 'politely informed' BG that he would like to be moved. That's more like it.

DEMANDS a trade, too funny!

Dandy and Begin are taking care of #1 aren't they ? They don't play every game, they want to be offered a contract next year, so they both want to go somewhere where they think they will be used more, hopefully enough to get an offer somewhere.

So, next time, we're supposed to buy that stuff about playing for the crest on the sweater, remember that players do what's best for themselves, pretty well like the rest of us.

GUYS GUYS GUYS

Dandenault and Begin (and presumably Bouillon) are just looking out for their careers. The youth movement is in full swing next year and these guys are going to be out of a job. They want to get traded and then sign another contract so they could continue playing hockey and not turn into Mike Johnson, Smolinski & Co.

What's next? David Desharnais demanding a trade?

This is so random. Dandenault's not even a healthy scratch!

yep. That's exactly what I think too about Dandenault. Though, Begin never asked for a trade apparently...

I think Columbus could be a good fit for him. They are poised to make the playoffs, and are not the deepest team in the league. A guy with lots of experience and who can play two positions could be what they're looking for.

They nabbed Chris Gratton on recall waivers not long ago. I think that could be a good deal for us, straight up. We're lacking at center with Begin's departure, and since we only pay half of Gratton's salary, trading Dandenault for him still gives us about another $1M in cap room.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Begin being traded, I know him and Begin were really close.

Atleast with Mathieu we can get something more.. 4th? 5th? Who knows. I hope we get atleast a 5th or 6th D man or prospect.

I'd love him to stay, more than Bouillon but I wont cry if he leaves.

laraque, dandenault and begin make 4.55 million combined. thats a waste of cap space. they dont play enough and when they do play they make a very slight impact.
