Kari Lehtonen to be called up.

Word out of Chicago tonight is that Don Waddell is in Hamilton with the Wolves and said in an on-air interview that he's taking Kari with him back to Atlanta. Just an FYI. Atlanta has games Friday and Saturday. I reckon Kari will get the Saturday start at home against the Caps.

Now the best goaltedner prospect in the world will get his chance to prove himself. He sould have been the starter for some time now. With him in nets next year and their young guys gettig better Atlanta is a scary team. I thought this was the year ut injuries held them back. They need to add one more dmen.

He got called up after a pretty weak night. Most goals came on shots, but that Wolves defense sucks. Their big, but suck.

Or maybe he'll solidify his spot behind MA Fleury.

Only time will tell.

Well, Braydon Coburn will help a great deal in that regard, given time. I can't imagine his learning curve will be too steep.

Fluery is getting called up? I agree though that Fluery SHOULD have been the starter for some time.

But what does all that have to do with Atlanta?

I hope it's only for a game, for Fantasy Hockey reasons. I just used my waiver priorities up yesterday after the trade deadline.

Now...only if Ottawa were to follow suit with calling up Emery...

I know, I know...they can't because he's been suspended...

Another loss. This time 4-2 to Carolina. I guess it won't hurt to try anything at this point. Do something, Kari.

Deservedly so. This kid is OOZING with talent. Loads and loads of talent. He could be SO great, but he has a hair trigger temper and a ten cent brain. The combination of those two are lethal to a professional sports figure. Especially a goalie at the highest level in the world.
I fear that if he doesn't learn to control it, he may never come close to reaching his potential. He may blow it which would be sad.
If he does, then IMO, he is almost as good as Lalime is now. The only thing that makes Lalime slightly better is the NHL experience that he has. He can read and react to the plays at this level better because he has played here for so long. Give Emery a season and he passes Lalime IMO (if he learns to control the other 2 above aspects).

I'm sure he'll show why he was picked by various respected hockey sources as the better prospect over Fleury.

I'm guessing he plays tomorrow night at home against the Caps. Depending on how he performs he could get around 3 or 4 more games to prepare him for (hopefully) next season.
