So Sick of Koivu's "Quiet Man" approach

I appreciate Saku and all he has been through, but when something is broken you need to fix it. This team has the worst chemistry right now, and I was alittle pissed to hear Koivu's comments that Laraque should have gone to the coach.

Seems to me that Koivu is hockey's version of a yes man, and the fact is Koivu will never see a cup in his days with the Habs, so I hope those days end soon.

Gainey, Carbonneau and Savard (Serge) all had a "Quiet Man" approach when they were captains...

What would you expect him to do? Take BGL by the hand. Did BGL even approach Saku? This hatred of Koivu really needs to stop. Actually hatred for all our players
from this supposed knowledgable fanbase.

Koivu should give him more ice time or else trade BGL by March 4th.

I have a feeling Koivu's just going to be watching come deadline day, again.

Koivu.

that sums up this thread in a nutshell.
beyond that.. since you clearly know the going-ons of the team from the inside.. any idea on who we're acquiring too? i'd like to have myself a "source" with inside info and all that.

I have heard from a credible source that Saku Koivu is also responsible for global warming and the recession.

Oh... and he doesn't speak french!!!!

Koivu leads by example on the ice, by virtue of the fact that, whether the results are there or not, he's the hardest working guy on the ice, night in, night out.

End of debate.

Stop with the speculation, it isn't necessary. There's enough about Saku's play that you can bash before starting to make assumptions about his captaincy.

Although I think it goes without saying that if the Habs fail to make any noise in the playoffs, it's goodbye Saku. But then again, if Gainey is part of the lunatic fan club that believes Saku should get his jersey retired, then we might unfortunately rely on him for yet another season.

Whenever I read an article (like this one for example: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...oryId=89164759) about how nice, thoughtful or just plain brilliant human beings can be and that I feel that I should be knocked down a couple of notches, I come on this board.

HFBoards has not yet failed me.
