The ENTIRE time Frolov had the puck Kronwall's stick was right in Frolov's hands. This is a ****ing brutally officiated game.

Meanwhile, the Red Wings haven't been penalized the whole damn game yet. Unbelievable home advantage.

eh you could look at it that way, although Calder was really tied up. I just saw a prime shooting chance for Purcell. He should've realized the time he had and shot or gone in closer instead of making the risky pass.

Did you even watch the play? Osgood cut off any angle Purcell had to shoot. His only option was to pass to Calder in front, who subsequently missed the puck.

Pretty lame offense. Every rush, we let ourselves be angled out at the blueline, and dump it in to 2 or 3 awaiting Red Wings. Yeesh.

Refs should put numbers on their back.

I agree Calder missed on a nice pass from Purcell...imagine how Purcell would be on the first line.

Brown is making alot of wrong decisions.

Osgood cut off the angle after Purcell had plenty of time with a lot of space to work with. Purcell waited to make the pass, and by that time there was much less space to shoot b/c Osgood reacted.

By the time Purcell got around Osgood the puck was practically on the goal line, he had no angle to shoot. The pass to Calder, whose stick was completely free, was the only option.

Exactly. I'm saying Purcell shouldn't have waited until he only had the option to pass.

Osgood had the angle played the entire time, though. We wouldn't even be having this discussion if Calder had just managed to get his stick on the puck.

Did you? I saw it that Osgood was out of position, and Purcell could have put the puck in

He had like a moment he could have released the puck and scored, but I'm not too bad on Purcell for passing. That would have been a difficult goal to score.

Now that I re-watch the play, Calder was clearly not ready for the pass. Purcell could have made it softer, but Calder was not looking.

We really should focus on what's coming up instead of finding the culprit for lost plays we can do nothing about now
