Point Production per Line Combination

So I put some stats together to see the point production of different lines. These combination are only for Even Strength situations.

This first set is ranked from highest to lowest point totals.

line combination: # shifts - points - points/shift - pts/shift as a fraction

Ak46 - Pleks - Kovy : 1089 - 27 - 0.025 - 2/81
tanguay - saku - lats : 517 - 20 - 0.039 - 1/26
SK74 - lang - AK46 : 510 - 16 - 0.031 - 1/32
Lats - Lapierre - Kostopoulos : 851 - 13 - 0.015 - 1/65
MaxPac - Pleks - Kovy : 468 - 9 - 0.019 - 1/52
Tanguay - saku - Higgins : 312 - 9 - 0.029 - 2/69
Tanguay - Lang - Kovy : 150 - 7 - 0.047 - 2/43
AK46 - Pleks - MaxPac : 106 - 6 - 0.057 - 3/53
Begin - Lapierre - Laraque : 155 - 6 - 0.039 - 1/26

The are other line combinations that had a significant number of shifts.

D'Ago Koivu Higgins : 411 - 3 - 0.007 - 1/137
SK74 Pleks Kovy : 284 - 2 - 0.007 - 1/142
Sk74 Lang Kostopoulos : 242 - 2 - 0.008 - 1/121
Begin Lapierre Dandenault : 212 - 2 - 0.009 - 1/106
SK74 Lang Lats : 211 - 2 - 0.009 - 2/211
D'Ago Lang Tanguay : 209 - 2 - 0.010 - 2/209
Begin Lapierre Kostopoulos : 183 - 3 - 0.016 - 1/61

That's a lot to digest so let me summarize by highest to lowest point/shift

AK46 - Pleks - MaxPac : 0.057
Tanguay - Lang - Kovy : 0.047
Begin - Lapierre - Laraque : 0.039
tanguay - saku - lats : 0.039
SK74 - lang - AK46 : 0.031
Tanguay - saku - Higgins : 0.029
Ak46 - Pleks - Kovy : 0.025
MaxPac - Pleks - Kovy : 0.019
Begin Lapierre Kostopoulos 0.016
Lats - Lapierre - Kostopoulos : 0.015
D'Ago Lang Tanguay 0.010
SK74 Lang Lats 0.009
Begin Lapierre Dandenault 0.009
Sk74 Lang Kostopoulos 0.008
D'Ago Koivu Higgins 0.007
SK74 Pleks Kovy 0.007

maybe now I can make the Gazette too

discuss.

I don't mean to sound like an ass but total points per shift is a pretty much irrelevant stat as it neglect unassisted goals, which can sometimes be attributed to hard working lines who create more turnovers.

Goals per shift or per total time on ice is better and is available right there:
