There's whispers of Guerin going to Florida, and Florida needs center depth so I thought to package them together.

This would be really tempting. Since we're most likely losing Bouw not sure we want to give up our D prospect. Might be able to get a forward prospect.

I wouldn't be interested in the deal without Ellerby and the 2nd.

I don't think we'd give up both Ellerby and the 2nd. I wouldn't mind Guerin on the team but not Weight. Any proposals for just Guerin?

The only way I see Isles wanting Boynton is if they move Martinek and/or Witt and need a placeholder until the summer.

I can't begin to imagine the Isles wanting Brett McLean.

Otherwise, I can't say I know enough about Ellerby to comment.

I like it for both sides. Florida could use the scoring. I'd take Boynton out at sub him with a mid level forward prospect instead though but it seems to work well.

We just have a difference of opinion. I think he's ok. He can't skate worth a damn. He looks like one of those little girls that skates at an open session. He's an ok player but I'd much rather have Bill Guerin.

Florida has deep defensive prospect depth: Garrison, Robak, Caruso. It's tough to give up Ellerby but they decide to go for it this year and trade the future for the present.
