They last played in vishaya-liga (second not third tier) 2008/2009 and then went bust if I understand it correctly. Like Dmitrov, Kemerovo, etc.

Traktor wants second team in MHL? I suppose MHL B

Полтора месяца назад нас посетила делегация из Молодежной хоккейной лиги во главе с управляющим директором Дмитрием Ефимовым. Мы побывали в Администрации города, встретились с главой Челябинска Станиславом Ивановичем Мошаровым и председателем Попечительского совета «Трактора» Борисом Ефимовичем Видгофом. Одним из главных был вопрос о создании в Челябинске молодежной команды, которая будет вступать во втором дивизионе МХЛ. Сейчас получается так, что «Трактор» теряет многих своих воспитанников, которые не могут сразу закрепиться в первой команде и «Белых медведях», уезжают играть в другие города и постепенно раскрываются там. Нас не устраивает это положение дел. Такая сильная школа как у «Трактора» должна иметь две команды МХЛ, что также и обсуждалось на встрече.

They should have worked something out with Mechel as they already have a team in MHL B, but, oh well, if they have money they can do whatever they want.
