ok we've got Pittsburgh on Sunday so like all back to back sets it's very important for Dallas to win the first game. Anaheim is going to be tough to beat - It's going to come down to our first line outplaying theirs, and I don't think I have to tell anyone here how good the Ducks' first line is

a win would be huge.. need to keep in a playoff spot

O btw.

I'll be at the game.

We're 3-0 or 4-0 this season when I'm there. Soooooo maybe? No. Nope. Not gonna happen. Sydor will fail me.

Nearly the only good thing about Anaheim is their first line. It's not entirely true but we match up well against them. I remember talking about what would happen if we lost a few games in a row, and how losing 2 in a row is not likely as to where it was going to stop. Guess we'll see how far the freefall goes.

Usually early Saturday games are awesome for me but the Chicago game and this have came at times where I wont be able to watch it

Up until last week I had a habit of missing the really good games, hopefully that can happen again.

GO STARS!

Hey guys, don't want to make a new thread and since I'm a ducks fan might as well ask in here.

Not sure when he was taken off the team, but do any of you have your with and without Avery records? This team of yours has improved so drastically. If no one has it off hand, I'll just figure it out. Thanks.

By the way, all your boys have to do to win this game is show up. The Ducks have been so bad. I wonder if Parrish has another trick in em...

Not really .......

Morrow, Richards, and Zubov are still out.

FYI, if Turco plays poorly today, I don't want to hear any *****ing about Turco. Last game, it was beyond evident that he is dealing with some significant fatigue. A Dallas loss today because of goaltending is all on Tippett.

Turco may have been part of the problem early on, but he's the main reason they're in playoff contention now.

I don't think you can blame offense on Tippett. That issue is clearly tied to the injuries. Running Turco into the ground is all on Tippett. The organization proved they trusted Stephan by passing on numerous veteran goaltenders with expiring contracts on waivers. Tppett appears to be the only person lacking confidence in Stephan or Krahn.

Do you blame him?

A rookie goalie...basically having to record a shut out every time he plays.

I blame Tippet. Although I have to think there's a part of Stephan that is happy to sit the bench when he watches Sydor take the ice in front of Marty.

Does anyone honestly believe Stephan will start tomorrow? Yeah I didn't think so.

it's not like he has dazzled when he has played. While he probably should have played a little more he hasn't been all that great outside of that game last year in Chicago (which the Stars lost, not his fault though) and another game earlier this year. He might make a highlight save here and there but he gives up softies even worse than Turco (minus last game's awful goal) His 3.35 GAA haven't impressed me.

You obviously don't remember the 3 games. He was great in the win against Minnesota (1 of the hottest teams in the league at the time). His second game against Chicago wasn't great, but the team in front of him was terrible. Turco even called the team out for hanging him out to dry. The third game he was amazing. It wasn't one spectacular save. The team was terrible in front of him, and they couldn't score a goal. He kept them in the game for a long time before eventually being overwhelmed. That game against Nashville was probably his best game this year.

Sometimes stat watching isn't the best way to go.

I'm not saying he should be starting, but he hasn't played so poorly that it makes since what Tippett has done.

alright big game today. If the history of first impressions holds up Steve Begin should score a couple goals today

things will look alot better for the Stars if they win this game..

According to the NHL.com Game Day Roster, the starting line is:

Ott-Ribeiro-Lehtinen

Beyond that, I have no freaking clue. Raymond Sawada and Chris Conner are healthy scratches.

At least J.S. Giguere is in net. Dallas has had success against him. It seems Hiller beats them quite a bit.
