He didn't force either guy to even think about him. He basically knocked himself down and took himself out of the play, making it the 2-on-0 you talk about.

Again, the goal is not his fault. That whole lovely distinction goes to Neal. Sydor was placed in a bad spot, but he didn't play it as well as he could have.
He didn't knock himself out. He was laying across the passing lane.

Not much of a factor. He had a nice chance early but that was it.

well that's it. we're done..

we may only be 2 points out of a playoff spot by the end of tonight but there's nowhere near enough talent on this team to keep us in the race.

sorry guys, I think we should sell.

He fell too early to be in the passing lane. He knocked himself down as he tried to spin around, and therefore didn't provide any resistance to the pass.

Honestly, this loss goes on the powerplay and secondary scoring. In particular, Neal, Eriksson, Brunnstrom and Modano have been the real goats in this run because no one other than the Ribeiro line is doing anything.

And Giguere deserves at least a one-game suspension for that. That was completely bush league, especially for a guy you know can't fight. I just lost a lot of respect for him with that move.

Did you miss the part when the Ducks saucered the puck a foot into the air? I guess we were watching a different game entirely.

It's funny how much a scapegoat Sydor is around the boards.

EDIT: Scratch that. It is very annoying.

Cute move by Moen fighting a guy who can't fight back.

Well ya what Giguere did was quite stupid. But I mean what the hell was Ott doing there as well, crosschecking Niedermayer 2-3 times for no particular reason.

Do you blame him after Ott cross-checks Niedermayer twice in the back/shoulder?

I can't take you defending Sydor seriously when you have him in your avatar.

Do I need to post my defensemen stats again to show you exactly how bad he's been? He's allowed 11 more goals than his ice time says he should since January. He's been on the ice for at least 11 of the last 17 goals against, assuming he was only on for the one today.

Defend him all you want, but all putting him on the ice is doing at this point (less so this game, very much the past three before this), is costing the Stars goals against.

Attn Tippett: Neal and Loui don't have chemistry. Brunnstrom and Neal do.

Modano is certainly falling to the occasion with all these available center minutes.

teams that consistently give up the game winning goal in the last 10 min dont deserve playoffs...

im starting to analys what kids will be a good pick at around 13 or 14 in the draft...i have a feeling all of these late game cough ups will finish us at 9th this year..

we should have at least had 3 more points...

Because that's what you do in front of the net. It's funny that a team that employs Chris Pronger gets all upset about cross checking.

After Ott wailed on Niedermayer with his stick when the game was over? Come on.
