Why can't we beat the Panthers

Its so frustrating!!! OUt of 4 games not to have one is poor and although Luongo is a great tender one could still make a case that we should be at least playing .500 hockey against them. With a tough schedule coming up this could have been an extra point that might make a difference.

Olli Jokinen is the Hab killer... he seems to play like an allstar when he plays the Habs.

Luongo versus the habs this season:

last night:
Roberto Luongo 34 shots 32 saves. Habs outshoot Florida 34-32. Habs lose 3-2.

Feb. 10th
Roberto Luongo 41 shots 40 saves. Habs outshoot Florida 41-22. Habs lose 2-1.

Dec. 12th
Roberto Luongo 31 shots 29 saves. Florida outshoots Hans 49-31. Habs lose 4-2.

Nov. 29th
Roberto Luongo 37 shots 36 saves. Habs outshoot Florida 37-24. Tie game 1-1.

if you remove the Dec. 12th game which we totally deserved to lose, look at the numbers.
In three games we outshoot Florida - 112 to 78
Luongo stopped 108 of 112 shots in those games. Save percentage of .964!!

Imo, if it wasn't for Luongo we would of been 2-1-1, or 2-2 versus Florida this year.

Well guys..you are not alone:

B's are 0-2-2-0 against the Cats this year. I believe B's scored something like 3 or 4 goals in these games. Luongo was a beast!!!!

Most of the goalies from quebec are pump up when they come in Montreal and reserve there best night for the Habs. Luongo did it last night and Brodeur did it last time the Devils was in town. Its a simple "I am proud to have beaten the Habs" syndrome since most of them have Patrick Roy and the Habs as hero when they were young. Would you not feel the same given the chance?
Also the guy did not show up for the first two period, so we should be happy to get one point out of this game and put it in the "I will not do so again" drawer...

I'm not too worried about it. We don't have to play them again anyway.

And when you say the extra point could have made a difference, to what? We're in the playoffs and it doesn't really matter if we finish 6th, 7th or 8th because we'll play a good team no matter what.
