I will be pissed if Tkachuk is some how a Ranger in 4 days.
This win just totally screwed with my deadline hopes. Like I said before Tkachuk is exactly the type of player Sather now thinks we need to be a legit contender. Too bad they don't have a game between now and Wednesday, and too bad this win was against the Avs, had it been someone a bit more challenging and they played that well maybe 4-1 or something it would have been a good gauge of the team and new system. Basically I'm just worried it gives them a false sense of security and Sather does something bone headed. Hell I'd be content letting them just finish out the season with the roster they have at this point. No risk in losing prospects or picks for a guy like Tkachuk.

Big props go out to Sjostrom more specifically the last 3 games. Plays hard!
i really like sjostrom really hard skater and a good back checker as well plays hard and really doesn't get the credit i feel he deserves simply because hes not a goal scorer

I meant to say this at the time, but I loved Lundqvist's celebration last night. Arms out wide, head to the sky as if to say "at ******* last!"

glad to see this team finally proved me wrong, the win means nothing if they dont beat the Isles on Thursday.

I would still move Gomez and say Prucha for Penner and Nilson

then move Rozsival for a top forward

Morris for Dawes and a good pick

one is nothing although the team has looked pretty good

I was at the game...did anyone else notice Lundqvist skating to the blueline during the first brawl? Wonder if he was mouthing anything to Raycroft.

Nope, didn't notice that lol. Honestly, I can't see Henrik fighting anyone. But then again, he gets pretty intense so you never know.

Dustin Penner? The Staypuff Marshmallow Man? Yeah, he'd excel under Torts.....

Penner is the last person i want on this team. I'd rather have Mark Bell under a work-in-progress.

I was at lastnights game and what an awesome feeling! The players played hard, the crowd was into it. I had a great time in section 336. =)

I hope they keep this pace up into june!

Colorado was frustrated and took it out on our players, but we pushed back... =)

Tucker is such a punk. If he fought Orr I would give him a lot of credit though. Same thing with Lapperriere. They wouldn't though. I love Orr and he's not just some goon. He does his job so well. He fights to protect his teammates like a police man. We need some more of that. Prucha has no problem getting his hands dirty. Nor does Mara. Dubinsky is not a good fighter but he doesn't shy away from the rough stuff. Voros is tougher than these guy's (except for Orr but you just can't put him in the lineup). I've even seen Dawes drop the gloves. Makes you a tighter team as well and provides a sense of unity and loyalty to your coach and teammates.

I think it was Redden who led an Av's player get a shot in. Pansy ass. I guess you have to play him because like Torts said, Freitz needs more conditioning. But I think I would play Freitz over Redden the next game anyway. If you're not scoring, that's one thing. But not giving 100 percent and/or letting a teammate get an unnecessary shot in from an opposing player is unacceptable.
And as a veteran Redden should know this. You can say this is whining but it's not. Win or lose. It shouldn't even be mentioned. You grab the guy and pull him away from the scrum so there's no chance your teammate gets hit. You don't give him a little hug from behind. Jeez!

Thanks again to JerseyRangers for the tickets last night! I started feeling really guilty when I realized it was going to be such a great game for the Rangers. I hope whatever it was that forced you to miss it was a great time as well!

Does anyone have a youtube of this? I didn't catch that and it would infuriate me if it was true.

It is true and both Maloney and Joe were upset and yelling for him to drop his gloves and grab a hold of the Aves Player. Redden stood there and did nothing.

The Coyotes are going to want a young defensive defenseman for Morris and maybe a pick. Dawes would be useless on the Yotes roster.
