How has he been this year? Did he progress? By stats, I would be tempted to say no. Maybe he got that somophore slump.

What's the take on him and his future?

He started off quite well. I think he posted most of his points in the first month. Since then he's been mostly invisible. Partly due to the Wild trying to "re-live" last season by playing some of the lesser skilled vets and partly his play. He hasn't played an entire game yet. He's shown flashes of offensive skill. Next year will be a pretty important year for him. If he starts off slow, he could see time in the AHL.

If he actually go's into the weight room he will be well on his way. He is 162 and needs to be 175-180 at 5'10. The think that has impressed me other then his amazing vision and passing is his skating is superb now. He is fast and has very good acceleration. I mean he was always very good but he has made the jump and improved to stay in the elite group. If he adds at least 10 pounds next year, I expect good things, if not well you may see him in the A.

Unfortunately for him, most of his passes end up on the sticks of guys with limited finishing ability. He could have a lot more assists than he does.

I agree. It's way too early in PMB's career to worry about him. Give him some players that can score, and he'll do fine.

Well he picked up 2 assists tonight.

I wouldn't expect the world from him just yet. He's still only 19.

I wouldn't be suprised if he put up 35-40 points next year if his ice time increased. It will be his contract year so you never know. (hopefully there is a year)
