No not even close...It would take more than that to get Frolov... Just my opinion I dont see Frolov going anywhere...Plus Ekland reported it so you know its not true
Frolov is good, but you people are bat **** if you think it'd take more than Pominville to land him.
The stats for Pominville and Frolov are virtually IDENTICAL this year. Pominville outscored Frolov last year and the year before they were identical. They're both 26, and both wingers.
I would not do that original deal in any way, shape, or form.
As if my second favorite team's offense wasn't scary enough to defend...!
TBH, I'm not sure what Buffalo is looking to trade for. Is their priority a puck-moving defenseman, a goal-scoring winger, or are they satisfied with an assisting winger like Pominville?
Frolov: 61 GP, 26 G, 20 A, 46 points
Pominville: 62 GP, 13 G, 33 A 46 points
Obviously, these are nearly identical players, production-wise. However, if they need a goal-scorer over a pass-first player like Pominville, then Frolov is their man to get.
But is L.A. looking for a winger like the Pominville? As far as I know, they're poised for a playoff push. IMO, with their defensive system, a goal-scorer is more vital than a pass-first winger.
Pominville is a pretty solid two-way player. He can score, but has been more of a setup man. Buffalo could use another goal scorer, and that would be someone like Frolov.
All people ever do is look at stats...you have no idea what Frolov does for LA.. he controls the puck more than anyone..He back checks like crazy.. Pominville is not as good as Frolov..He is a solid player but not Frolov

It's Kings fans... they think all their players are worth Ovechkin.
If he was traded...it would be a young NHL ready player...Top prospect and a 1st
Basically you're saying MacArthur/Gerbe, Ennis and a 1st. Hmm I'd do that.
Sekera would be another "young NHL ready player" but he's a defenseman and I believe you'd need forwards more. No Sabres fans want to trade Sekera... I however could live with him being traded.

Its not just Kings fans its all fans on this board look at leafs, Habs, even Sabres fans we are not GMS we are fans who love our players...But we know how good Frolov is and we know what he brings to the table to say Pominville is as good as Frolov is Sabres fans opinion..not right but there opinion.

No...no we don't. We don't make half as many proposals, let alone retarded proposals, as fans of certain other teams. But thanks for having a bias and comin out!
I'm neither a kings or sabres fan - I tend to think Frolov > Pominville, more upside, to be honest; and goal scoring normally (at elite levels) > setup men... Except in the case of the players who put up 70+ assists, where you can make a legitimate case that they make the players around them better just by being there.
I think it would take Pominville + a first round pick or something along those lines to make L.A. pull the trigger... Or maybe an NHL ready prospect instead.
The Pominville trade would be pretty good if we did not need goal scoring. I like the idea, but now is not the time. We need Frolov's goals more. The one posted above is just trash.
So the Kings give up the best players in this rumor and get no real value in return?
Ok I wouldn't go that far. That deal definitely is in our favor. But you're not being realistic either. Connolly when healthy is the best player in that deal. Unfortunately he's not healthy much. Acting like Jack Johnson is better than him is comical.
People need to stop acting like JJ is a superstar. He has 15 points and is a -36 in 99 career games. If he wasn't drafted 3rd overall, people would consider him at best a #4 or 5 defenseman right now.
