Freaks and Geeks is a classic, as is Conchords. Community is one I've been waiting to decide if I should invest the time. I like the production style used on that show. Is it funny/smart/interesting enough to commit to?

Well I would reccomend committing to the first 2 seasons at least.
They are exceptionally written and hilarious, but it tapers off during the third season.

Go watch Stars Wars. I don't want to see your freaking username on here again until you report back that you have watched it. Much respect as a poster for you I.. had.

The correct way to watch it:

On a BIG screen(80" +) in dim lighting with a decent surround sound system and on blu-ray in 24p. Oh, and we're only talking episodes IV-V-VI here.

Also if any of you have yet to see the first two Godfather movies, do it. I can watch those over and over and over.

Oh geez after I wrote my post I realized there are so many other movies you should see.

The Planet of the Apes (the original Charlton Heston version), Goonies, and Wall Street to the above list.

As for 90s movies Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Fargo, Se7en, L.A. Confidential, Sleepers, The Usual Suspects, Jurassic Park, and Goodfellas.

I know Piqued already made a thread about it in he entertainment page but if you haven't seen Fruitvale Station go and see it. It was great. Michael B. Jordan was outstanding.

Saw Wolverine this past Tuesday. Was pleasantly surprised. Solid Marvel movie, and a good teaser of what's to come.

I'm usually not into these types of flicks but I thought The Conjuring was pretty good.

When I first heard about it, I have to admit I was sort of mad. They basically stole the plot of an unique TV show (Dead Like Me) to make a summer action movie.

The Conjuring wasn't bad, but it wasn't scary. Mildly creepy at parts (especially the beginning).

Pacific Rim was fun for what it is: giant robots versus giant aliens. The writing (& some of the acting) is pretty terrible, however.

Yeah it has rip/spin off written all over it. With a $160m budget and a decent cast it really flopped.

I was impressed with it as well, though I hated the spin they put on it that Logan was unfamiliar with/ignorant of Japanese culture... still a solid film.

Saw Kick-Ass 2 on the 31st at an advanced screening and it was fantastic.

2 Guns was surprisingly good. Marky Mark made it.

Wolverine was not worth the 15+ dollars it cost me to get in.
Much better then "Origins", but not by much.
The ending ruined the other 2/3's of a mediocre comic book movie.

The Counselor, with Fassbender, Bardem, Pitt, and Cruz looks like it's going to be quite a good film.

$15+ doesn't sound fun for any movie.

Who else has never seen an X-Men movie and knows nothing about it other than they have Hugh Jackman and Captain Picard?
