You got another thing coming. ****, Rick Astley was being made fun of by Bill Hicks in the 80s, and mother ****ers to this day still think they are top **** when they post a Rick Astley joke.

Yeah, I cursed a lot, but whatever its 2AM, snowing like all hell, and I have a feeling classes aren't going to be canceled since my university is all gay and ****. Soooo im gonna have to drive up in my ****ing car, ****ing RWD, spin out frenzy in all sorts of ice and ****, cause my ****ing tires, ****ing 200 dollar tires are all worn the **** out, and i gotta go up because its like mid terms and major papers are due this week... WHICH is hilarious in its own right because ALL my professors are off this week, so its all substitutes that are going to be grading our projects and handling the term **** and if i need advice or anything.... No one can help me! OHHH AWESOME! **** you Maryland!

Steve Downie....Matt Carle?

I dont see the relevance.

There is a HUGE difference between playing like a #3 on this team and on the other teams in the league that are supposedly competing for a cup.

Color me NOT IMPRESSED

Thats my point. He will have a great game like Montreal and then look like crap against Pitts and NJ. Now I didnt see the entire NJ game, but the little that I watched he was running around his own end looking like a moron on a couple occasions.

Hey, I dont think it is 100% his fault, his coach has him on a pairing he shouldnt be on and other than Timonen (who doesnt need to be coached) no one on the team knows where the hell they need to be in the defensive zone.

With that said, a true #3 is much more consistent and will be one of the 4 dman you want out there killing penalties. I will forgive him for not getting #1 PP time going forward if Richards stays at the point, but he should have been up until now.

People need to be sure they are not just comparing him to who he replaced on the team and who was here last year. I didnt do the exercise, but I am sure there are more teams with a better "#3" dman than there are teams without one.

For what it's worth, there are now videos of this game up on youtube. None of them contain any clips of the said incident. Take that for what it's worth.

I have no problems admitting to be a fan of Steve Downie, as I followed him in the OHL and then his contributions to that of Team Canada.

Until I see evidence of his cutting down an official, I reserve further judgement...as we all should. Without seeing a clip of the incident, were all speculating based on his past. Yes, he's made some bonehead decisions and they will stick with for the duration of his hockey career...repuation is something that hards to disregard. He has however gotten a new chance with a new team, something I feel he's thankful for and wants to make the most of.

Does this mean it didn't happen, heck no. But just because of past brain cramps, doesn't mean he did either.

If it comes that he's guilty of what he's being accused of, he should have the book thrown at him...there is no place in hockey for abusing an official, let alone with your stick. If this is the case, the guy is a moron, and it could be said that he'll never learn.

Until that's proven though, let's leave it at that.

It's amazing how fast people turn on the back of a player once he leaves the organization.

Innocent, until proven guilty!

No, but he's probably seen a couple youtube videos of prior incidents and decided once and for all who Steve Downie is.

The humour behind saying "wherever this loser goes, trouble follows" is that wherever that loser goes, teams win hockey games.

You basically posted my would-be response when he inevitably says, "no, but..."

Now I can just use the quote button. Thanks.

Do I really have to dignify this with a serious response? It's not hard to find where he came from. So what, he hasn't single-handedly won a Cup yet? Sorry to disappoint you.

Is this still a question? I thought we had established that JXC is Jones' father.

i thought tochet would be able to get a handle on downie as they strike me as very similar players. maybe hell acyually get a chance to coach the kid now that his reputation has denied hm the chance to play in the ahl.

Brent Sutter and Peter DeBoer both disagree.

So if Giroux doesn't win us a Cup and playoff MVP in his rookie year, I get to call everyone out on it for the next 15 years too?
