I doubt his injury is serious. Could be a preventive measure. But why call up the guy, really? Dandenault is not playing.

Either they were/are getting ready to get rid of Dandy and needed an extra D up just in case, or he was going to replace Brisebois.

My guess....Dandeneault is going to be dealt before our next game and Chipchura is going down. O'Byrne would be brought up to be a 6/7 for us with Brisebois.

That's it, that's all. If another d-man is brought in before the deadline then O'Byrne will probably go back down to Hamilton.

But I guess it makes sense that O'Byrne was going to replace Brisebois who sat out most of the third period last night.

Is this the begining of a Brisebois to Dallas rumour?

Makes sense, Breezer can't play everyday...he has a hard time playing every other day for that matter.

The Habs have an extra roster spot, so nobody needed to be moved to bring up O'Byrne - and Breezer definitely needs a night off. Having said that, as soon as Tanguay is ready to go, someone would need to go down.

Can the roster be blown up a bit after the March 4th deadline? If not, maybe he was going to be called up before their road trip only to prevent any injury problem.

Brisebois is going to the Wild so he can play with Marc-Andre Bergeron. That would be the most dynamic pair in the NHL.

Obviously, Dandy not replacing Breezer in yesterday's game really is saying something. They want to avoid him being injured.

Wow, can you just imagine the turnover ratio when that pairing would be on the ice? It would do wonders for the dynamic of the opponents' game.

BG: Congratulations on your 998th career NHL game Patrice! To celebrate, we're sending you to Dallas! We're playing them next week and could use the points. If we can downgrade... ahem... improve their D, it would really help them out of a jam.

PB: Who are you getting in return?

BG: I doesn't matter.

Nhl holds meetings to shrink net sizes and increase goalie pads size .

Dandy

Dandy to Detroit seems like a natural, They know him well, had actually outbid the Habs for his services, and some defense could help after an embarassing 8-0 loss to Preds, during which some unknown D named Meech went -5...

When Gainey acquired Janik, he identified him as the team's 8th defenceman (O'Byrne being the 7th) while Bouillon is out.

Obviously the front office doesn't consider Dandy an option at the blueline anymore.

Per Eklund : "Word is that the Nashville Predators, Montreal Canadiens, and Pittsburgh Penguins are very much intrerested in Gaborik."
