In case Eklund has not bothered you enough recently,

here's his proposed realigned division for the CBJ:

The American Southern Division:

I am putting these teams together because they really do share a sports culture already that is not being taken advantage of in my opinion. College Football and Basketball are HUGE among these fanbases and that should be taken into account. Rivalries already exist here. Just go to a game in Carolina and check out the tailgate to know what I mean.

The Atlanta Thrashers
The Nashville Predators
The Carolina Hurricanes
The Dallas Stars
The Tampa Bay Lightning
The Florida Panthers
The Phoenix Coyotes
The Columbus Blue Jackets

So we're to be in the South, with only the Preds as a continuing rival, none of the nearby teams, and no team older than (maybe) Dallas? All because of college football and basketball? I'm stunned by the stupidity!

I think I would organize protests outside of the NHL head office if the that ever happened.

I think the NHL should take a closer look at which teams are closest to each other and group them together. I'd love to be in a division like this:

Detroit
Columbus
Pittsburgh
Philadelphia
Chicago

Never going to happen though.

Just crap aspects of geography

That's stupid. And look at Phoenix, with Dallas the closest city to them. Idiocy.

He uses college rivalries as the basis for that alignment, and yet he separates Columbus and Detroit, despite OSU-Michigan college football being widely considered to be the greatest rivalry in all of sports with over a century's worth of history.

You just can't Epic Fail any more than that. You just can't. It's just not possible.

i believe "allspice" meant that he was seeing playing time and being used at every posistion at all times during the game....there are of course some words that really cant be translated into english....for instance, "robinet" is a word that i know to be used for "enima"....in french it means a "flowing tap" so let the good times flow!

Dallas has a tradition of college football and basketball? Somebody needs to spend some time in North Texas. If they think that the Cowboys, Mavericks, and Stars don't rule the roost, then they are deluded. College sports are popular, but they do not come close to the levels found in other parts of the country.

Return of the Dancing Swedes?

(From 5 Questions with Juice)
Quote:
Q: Beyond all the good play by the Blue Jackets, wasn't the turning point of the season when your buddies, the Dancing Swedes, attended several games?

A: They started with a 3-0 run, yeah? They came in and the fans loved them. Even the guys in here (the locker room) were talking about the guys. ... If we make it to the playoffs I think there's a big chance they will be here.

Oh please, let it happen. Nationwide is starting to develop a cast of characters. Can't wait to see what people make of it during the playoffs

That is completely asinine. I'm not sure I could stomach being in the "American South Division"

I would love to see us move to the east, however. Not just because we tear up that conference like an old newspaper, but just because it makes more sense geographically. Half our games aren't even in our own damned timezone.

My dad, brother and I went to the Islanders game. Awesome show they put on. The teen girl behind us went "His jeans are tighter than mine are."

Now we need Matt the Mask to hook them up with Jason masks & we're set!

Thanks for posting. That was a lot of fun to watch, especially the intro with Mase's parents watching the end of the PIT game.

I saw it live on HNIC tonight, the repeat was better...

Some are starting to bring up Ken Dryden in comparsion to Mase, they both are big and they both have that mental stability when scored upon.

If during breaks in the game Mason starts to stand there resting his arms on the knob of the stick we will have a match...like this:
