It's a thin draft. Look for Clarke to deal some of these picks for picks next year. (Please get a 2nd rounder we haven't had one for 6 years and quality players still get taken in round 2)

That's correct. The 2005 draft seems to be deeper than this one. Anyway, we still need wingers. And some have to be taken next June.

We need skaters. Not just wingers. We don't have the depth on defense anymore either. We need a sniper who can just flat out make plays to begin with. I haven't had much chance to look at who we can pick up though with such a late pick. Maybe Clarke has plans to move some picks in order to move up into round 2 at least.

You're right, we're stacked at center and between the pipes but we truly need wingers (and good skaters of course) and D-men now, especially physical D-Men.
We've got only Ruzicka, Drozdeztsky and Brunelle in the system, amongst wingers. That's not the Heaven...I think Ruzicka will be a nice addition when he is ready. Drozdeztsky is a enigma and Brunelle still far from the Flyers lineup.

All this means that the Flyers have to come up with some guys in the late rounds - Euros scouting has to come up big this year ala Detroit and get some quality in the late rounds. D men can be a nice suprise but guys taken that late usually take longer to develop - KJ.
I agree that with all those late picks BC may try to move up, unsure if he can get to the second with all those 5/6 ers though.

Clarke always seems heading for the exit after the 6th round. He has alot of mid rounders (10! in rounds 3-6), so he'll be able to pick up some sound wingers/skaters as well as take a "flier" on a couple of lesser known/hidden gems maybe. Chances are he'll try and move more than a few picks for mid rounders in 05 though. Kind of a 2 6ths for a 05 4th.
