and a much better option right now than Poo, or JFJ

Hopefully MacT keeps Penner on the PP because he is needed infront of the net. Reddox was boxed out far to easily last game.

I don't think people realize just how huge this game is! We have to keep Nashville at bay and not make a run for the playoffs. They are the hottest team in the playoff run right now.

8. Anaheim (Won 1)
9. Nashville (Won 4)
10. Minnesota (Lost 3)
11. Dallas (Lost 5)
12. St. Louis (Won 3)

A must win, as always. Hopefully they show up and get the win. It'd be huge for our playoff push.

Lets go Oilers!!

3-2 Oilers

Roli with the save in 3 innings of work.

Hemsky, Souray and Cogliano with jacks

Arnott and Weber with jacks.

Hemsky also with 1 rbi.

I don't mind Reddox on the top line tonight at all. He had a great game last game and made 2 sweet passes to set up goals. My issue is with Nilsson out again. I think it was a good message to sit him out one game but back to back games is a mistake. They are playing Jacques for toughness but Nilsson > Pouliot on that 2nd line. I'd dress Nilsson and Pouliot and scratch Jacques but I hope it works! LETS GO OILERS!!!!!!! Playing in Nashville is always tough and it seems like Erat always scores on us there.

3-2 Oilers in OT.

Oilers: Horcoff, Cole, Hemsky (Ot winner)

Predators: Erat, Arnott

Reddox deserve to be there but I will have prefer this line-up.

Lw - C- RW
Reddox/Penner - Horcoff - Hemsky
Nilsson - Gagner - Cole
Cogliano - Pouliot - Pisani
Reddox / Penner - Brodziak - Stortini

btu good to see JFJ getting another chance he was good on his 1st game 2 weeks ago.

So reddox is our new first liner. Perfect. I dont even care what this team does the rest of the day or tomorrow. Its not going to matter with decisions like this from the Head Coach.

What other option does MacT have? Penner was brutal last game and Reddox was great while setting up 2 goals and busting his hump all game.

Besides calling up Schremp or Brule form Springfield. Neither of which is lighting the world on fire in the AHL.

What a moronic comment.

Penner is tied in goals with Horcoff.

Penner leads this team in game winning goals.

Penner led our team in goals last year.

Penner scored 29 goals in his rookie season

Penner has more points than Cole, Nilsson or Gagner

Contrast with:

Reddox has 9 career points.

Gagner?
Cole?

Now im going to hear about the dont wanna split lines up. Give me a break. We have won 2 of our last 6. Something isnt working coach.

Yeah, but you hate Mac-T and you don't recognize effort level when you factor in these decisions.

Penner will probably be on the 1st PP anyway so I dont see how people get mad because Reddox is on the 1st line at 5 vs 5.

Anyway the first 3 lines are playing almost the sames minutes at 5 vs 5

Have you guys been living under a rock this entire fricking season?
Penner goes out and has 2 good shifts and he's back on the top line before the end of the first period.
He goes out and stinks it up again, he'll stay on the third line.

For people who scrutinize MacT's every move, you certainly don't pay attention very much. Penner is placed on a line that is consistent with his play for that game.

Nilsson - only if its a showcase, Rowbear and Penner both dont seem to be able to bring IT.
MAP - Are you for real?
COgs and Gags - Centers and much better there
Cole - been there tried that, didnt work
Reddox - 2 points last game with 2 great 1st assists, and is good in his own zone.

For 5 on 5 play right now with the current roster Reddox is clearly the best option.

If Penner comes out in the first period balls out then sure toss him back on the first line where he should be.

Ok. We are game 63 now? I can see this kinda stuff....deserving at the start or middle of the season but at the playoff push. Results are what matters. Reddox has proved nothing, and never should of been on the pp in the playoff push. Penner well totally oposite.

Saying he did tells me everything I need to know.

This is the kinda stuff that makes this team struggle for the playoffs year in and out. Same thing happened last year. The year before. The year before that.

Really? He's proved he will do everything his under skilled body can do to win, EVERY NIGHT.

Penner has proven that he can't be counted on.

Honest. All them players arent better options?? Based on what? Its all based on Mact getting a favorite some much deserved ice time. I dont have a problem with that when we arent playing the most important games of the season.

Funny you say for 5 on 5. The favortism is beyond 5 vs 5 because Reddox got pp time on the first unit last game.

Horrible coaching.

The Oilers need to initiate contact in this game. They can't have that little ****** on there team running around again.
