I think that's where he's like Bertuzzi. Big guy, but very soft hands. He definitely seems to be playing a more finesse game lately, but you can still see a certain physicality to his game. I'm hoping the two meet at some point.

Can't he magically re-sign tomorrow like Olli did a few seasons ago on deadline day? Then ,Louie stabbed him in the back by not re-upping along with him.

I doubt it though

Weiss is fantastic. But is Horton going anywhere? In terms of hockey, I mean. This has been Weiss', Booth's and Frolik's year thus far, IMO. At the beginning of the year I was sure he'd be one of the linchpins.
Weiss' playmaking skills are indeed fantastic. As far as Horton goes, it seems that he needs to be put back on wing to score more goals. His assists are cool, but you definitely want to see him scoring goals. This is why we need another center.

fwiw, i felt that 1st period sunday may have been one of the most important of the season, particularly the PP goals. we were able to really settle in and get the old game going with lots of speed, pucks in deep, consistent forecheck. the first today was a little squirrely but again, the 2nd and most of the 3rd were pretty impressive, imo, for the same reason. the speed and transition had been there sporadically (as you would expect with our D and speed) but not the forecheck. i was a bit worried these last few games as the patterns of february seemed to magnify but feel a bit reassured now.

Weiss' progression is going to be similar to Marc Savard IMO...

Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the Panthers' lines would look like if there were no injuries or anything. I'd need the forwards, and defense, please.

Thanks a lot!

Well if there was NO injuries:

Booth - Horton - Zednik
Stillman - Weiss - Frolik
Dvorak - Campbell - Peltonen
Tarnasky/McLean - Kreps - Stewart

Bouwmeester - Allen
Ballard - Boynton
Skrastins - McCabe

But since Allen is probably out until next season, and the status of Boynton is unclear at the moment, the lines were:

Skrastins - Bouwmeester
Ballard - McCabe
Cullimore - Welch

I love our defense boys, but if we could of had Allen for the season, and have Skrastins playing with McCabe, I think that would of resulted in a few more points for us. Seeing how well Skrastins and McCabe have played last season, I wouldnt have no fear with any of those three pairings on the ice.

Necessary road win at the end of what should be considered a very successful road trip. By the way, Potvin mentioned he never was in Atlanta when it was so cold and while in Buford, about 40 miles North of downtown Atlanta has been colder, it was 23 degrees with snow and ice on the ground when I left 4:15am Tuesday and 70 degrees and sunny skies in Boca Raton when I arrived 2:30pm the same day. What a difference!!! But being the contralian I am, I like cold weather.

I added Rusty on the fourth line.

Not the prettiest of wins but I'll take it. I'm sure everybody was a little nervous because of it being the last game before the trade deadline.
