The Itty Bitty Kitty party 3/3/09

AKA...The please don't hurt any of our trade eligibles game.

Tonight we play the Florida Panthers. The team we have have amassed the most points against in the history of our illustrious franchise. They are a team needing two points to maintain their playoff positioning. Quite frankly this is two points they cannot afford to drop.

Meanwhile we're a team in transition. Schneider and Havelid are gone. Denny is a fresh arrival. Does this team have a hangover from letting Nic loose? Can Kovalchuk keep the team focused and maintain our winning ways of late?

I was down at Philips on Saturday and plan on being there Friday so tonight may be a SportsSouth kind of night. Game time is 7pm.

Need I say, I'm really worried what the PK will be like now that Nic is gone.....

The only consolation is that maybe Valabik will get more time and hopefully improve more there. As long as Valabik can stay within position he could be quite a challenge for people wanting to come up front, because of his size/reach and physicality......

You might have to settle for online radio, if you can't find a sports bar in your area who would be willing to put the game on for you.

Knobler confirmed Bogo-Enstrom and that Lewis would skate on the 3rd line with XLB

And, as much as people complain about him, Perrin as well. That's two of our few decent PK players gone.

I honestly think that we should be sitting all pending UFA's tonight...but...whatever, I suppose.

Brutal second period. Who could imagine the Thrashers not playing a full game?

Yeah, the second was awful. This team needs to get their act together.

Enstrom puts up another point tonight. That's 5 points in seven games. Definitely not bad.

That was not a fun game to watch tonight. Boring. It is the emptiest I have seen the building this year by a lot. Maybe everyone was waiting till Fridays game to show up.

I was there, and the turn out was pathetic. My guess is somewhere between 6000-8000.

Most people probably decided not to come since Perrin wasn't playing.

Why should anybody come watch a team that can only play 20 minutes a game?
