I don't mean to pick your post appart because you have some good points but offensive upside?

I don't remember the last time I saw Chipchura take a shot on net or make a dangerous pass in the offensive zone, let alone get an assist or a goal.

Some people actually think Chipchura is better offensively than Lapierre?
We don't think it, we know it. He didn't get a chance to work with a decent winger or two in Montreal, so try watching a few Hamilton games before coming across as misinformed. He's nearly a point a game with the Dogs after October. Do you think that comes from having pucks bounce off his ass?

Wasn't Jason Ward good offensively in the AHL? The NHL is not the same league at all. Lapierre's great speed and intensity makes him a better offensive player at this level.

Lapierre was as good offensively in the AHL and better in the NHL, with and without good forwards...

But, of course, you won't admit it...

It comes from him being able to compete with AHL players but not NHL players. It's time for Chips to stop leasing in Hamilton, and settle down permanently.

I see I offended the person with the Chipchura avatar. Shocking.

Listen, I have nothing personal against the kid, and like I said his doing well in the AHL means nothing. The AHL is MUCH slower than the NHL.

All I'm seeing is someone who can't win faceoffs, can't skate fast enough to keep up with the play and who is struggling to find a role at the NHL level.

And better than Lapierre offensively? Just look at the numbers they speak for themselves.

Your problem.

I'm not offended at all. As a matter of fact ultimately I won't really care one way or the other if Chip never makes it, I'll still be a Habs fan first and foremost.

My issue is with posters who spew stuff that doesn't make any sense and not with the guys that are out for rational discussion.

I've watched both: Ward had nowhere near the toolbox and potential Chip has to make an NHL career.

Seriously... this is a lost case...

Come back when Kyle Chipchura will prove something in the NHL... Lapierre proved to be better than him in EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY and it's not even close !!

The day it will happen, you will see pigs flying in the sky

How's Sergei doing? 2 points in 7 games in the AHL? FANTASTIC! At that rate, he'll have 5 points by the end of the season!

Nice attempt to be funny, but you failed miserably.

Both you and me know that we will see Sergei back in the NHL this year or next, like it or not.

You're really the last person around here to be throwing stones at fanboys/fangirls.

Hey Dagenais... another disgrace.

We all know Brisebois is here because he's buddies with Carbo and it's not quite the same country club atmosphere without that goof around.

Le Tricolore hasn't been in the NHL for 100 years. The NHL only started in 1917.

(hey, for once, it makes sense!)
