Reverts to it's losing ways? What, have you been asleep since Christmas? You are aware they played poorly enough to get their coaching staff canned right? How far have we come in Torotrella's three games that we're even out of the Renney era?

Didn't Tortorella call Avery an 'selfish ass' back in December?

This will be hilarious, watch out.

the team that claimed him would have to take on his entire contract in that scenario I think.

This could work out really well for the Rangers or it could be horrible, but a risk worth taking IMO.

^^^^ Since it's now against the rules to do that, then no
but cmon, Avery already had a big rep before the Dallas incident

Don't think it matters to Avery. Many, many teams have said that they won't let Avery bother them, or that they won't let him do whatever, and then he goes out and pisses them off. Unless Devils players are willing to risk suspension to "get" Avery, then they can't do anything to him that hasn't already been done.

The best thing they can do is either outright ignore him, or hit him hard and often

eh, they're professionals, they'll work it out. Avery has also made a few comments about what Tortorella said, along the lines of "that's fine, things were crazy then, I just want to move on and am looking forward to playing under Tortorella"

Remember the last time the devils played Avery, when he was a Star, He didn't even go near the crease, got smashed a few times. Got Challenged 3 times to fight but skated away. Especially when you have Holik and Salvador always near the net. Im telling you, he will have no effect in the next game.

Last time Brodeur faced Avery the Devils won 5-0. I understand Rangers fans are excited that they get to be distracted from there putrid offense for more than a day until reality sets back in, but jeeeez.

The reality is that my team is fighting for the Eastern Conference lead and the Rangers could possibly miss the playoffs. Another reality is that the Devils are now one of the biggest teams in the league, I hope Sean gets acquainted with Shanahan and Holik.

But hey an average forward who's own coach thinks hes a piece of **** is back!

The final matchup at the Garden is gonna be quite something though, I plan on going.

Last time Brodeur faced Avery on the Rangers, he was practically swept out of the playoffs.

The last time they faced each other when it mattered, The Rangers put the Devils out in 5 games and "fatso" didn't shake Avery's hand.

It wasn't meant to be against the Devils. I think it will be hilarious to watch the Rangers deal with Avery's anger problems.

And as I said, Bobby will eat him alive. That's what I think.

Go Devils.

No, no. That's not what I meant.

I mean things were looking brighter and given some more games maybe it could look like the team's turned around a bit due to to the coaching change. But I'm just not sure we'll get a chance to see with Avery around, possibly disrupting things.

It's so funny to watch Sather do these stupid things, Gomez, Drury, Redden, Rozsival, and now Avery.
All the while their fans applaud it. When will they ever learn?
Most Ranger fans are not happy about Gomez, Drury, Redden and Rozsival and would like to see at least one of them moved. Most Ranger fans are happy about Avery, but I'm not one of them. He's as likely to embarrass the organization as do anything productive on the ice. I'd rather lose than win with a player like that.

But I've come to accept it as an inevitability, and in some respects it's a good thing. He doesn't cost us anything, and now that we have him, maybe Sather won't trade away any prospects or picks. If Avery reverts to form, I imagine he'll be waived and sent back to Hartford.

And yeah Jon, we know that was all Avery too.

I think a lot of you guys are expecting too much in his return, he will help you guys but he is NOT going to fix your problems scoring.

Yes, but he also faced a much better Rangers team.
Honestly, Sean Avery is what the Rangers offense needs? Im sure he will spark the team, hell even I know that when he plays the game the right way he does his job quite well. This time he will be under a microscope.
I know you guys beating us last year was like your cup after you were quickly put aside by Sidney Crosby but come on.

Heres to March 30th!
