Holik will sick his unibrow on him?

When has Avery ever given a **** what someone on the opposite team is going to do? Avery will sit there and let them try to cheapshot him and get the powerplay for the Rangers.

Shanahan is far too smart to get involved in that BS, anyway. Holik, on the other hand...

He's not the final solution, assuredly.

But I think that Sather will address the scoring problem if there is a deal out there that doesn't involve ****** our prospect cupboard.

We have a ton of top notch trade chips right now, though, so I could see him moving a Sanguinetti or our 1st round pick or a combination of those and a contract to get a big scorer.

We'll see. Over 24 hours remain.

That's how I look at him.

Mediocre 2nd liner/very good 3rd liner. A tweener.

Regardless of the Rangers having lost in round 2, they still put out the Devils.

That's an entire different argument.

Not much of a shocker there. Maybe he'll light the fire under Gomez and Drury. I'm curious to see how he'll play and behave for the rest of the season. He gets a second chance, hopefully he's smart enough to take advantage of it.

And I think Sather will do something major, that's my gut feeling, I just hope for your sake he doesn't feel the pressure of his job and go overboard trading away top prospects, especially when you guys have a nice stable of them.

I don't think Avery's biggest problem will be Shanny or Holik, however, I do belive it will be his own coach. This should be interesting.

And you guys aren't getting the Sean Avery of last year. You getting the "castrated" by Gary Bettman version. He's on zero tolerance, one more mess up and he's out of the league.

I don't think he will. He's basically come out and said that he's not going to be moving many (if any) young players.

I would have to think that guys like Grachev, Del Zotto and Anisimov (top 50 prospects) are going to be off limits.

I don't WANT to see him trade a guy like Stepan or Sanguinetti, but if it meant bringing in a young scorer type than I'm all for it. I don't want to see him moving value for over the hill vets like Tkachuk or Guerin, though.

I'd like to think I can take Sather's word, but I think any Rangers fan knows they can't. He's about as untrustworthy as possible.

And people say Avery isnt a Impact player. Guy gets picked up at 12:00 and 50 players get waived across the NHL at 12:05.

Sanguinetti has the makeup of a impact NHLer, Sather may have to move him to get a big chip name.

He's already been a **** stirrer in Hartford. I don't think he's changed his game one iota.

You'll see less of him mouthing off in the media, I'm sure, but he won't be out of Brodeur's face (IE knocking his helmet off, falling on him, calling him names and calling out his infidelity on the ice, etc) or anyone else's face.

I think you guys thinking he won't be the same are simply living a pipe dream.

Just in time for Brodeur's return.

Hey, we might suck, but at least the season won't be boring anymore.

I think that Bobby is on the market. I would move him if it meant landing a top notch scorer like a St. Louis, who has been rumored lately.

With Voros and now Reitz waived, it's assured he's making a move. We now only have 20 players on the roster, IIRC.

Bell was waived to make room for Avery.

Now Voros and Reitz being waived means he either has a deal in place or will be dealing tomorrow.

I think that's assured.

But hey an average forward who's own coach thinks hes a piece of **** is back!
The final matchup at the Garden is gonna be quite something though, I plan on going.
Our proposed group should make things interesting regardless

Avery is a piece of **** . Don't get me wrong, he's a decent hockey player, but he's a real ********** piece of s***. Him and Steve Downie should become best friends. They're a couple of kids who like to throw temper tantrums and who want the media's attention. They both need a serious beat down. They belong in the ECHL. Players like Avery have no place in this sport. For his sake I hope he cleans up his act cause I would love to see him succeed but for now, he doesn't deserve to be in the game.
