with Voros gone, the Rangers now have $3,819,039 in full season cap dollars, according to NHLScap, and some simple calculations
that's assuming Voros goes down

You were right Pru. I really thought Sather would hold steady to see who he could deal and keep his options at forward open.

He doesnt have to admit ****. He lost Avery to Free Agency, tried to fill that roll as best he could with Voros. Fast forward 8 months later he claims Avery off waivers at 12:00, AT HALF THE PRICE and waives Voros at 12:01

Voros is just not a good enough skater to play in this league.

Cmon give slats a little credit on this one. he got avery for the price he wanted. Avery @ 4 mil is almost as bad as Gomez, Drury and Redden at their respective contracts. he didn't think Avery was worth it so he passed on him. It was a good move. now we get avery back.
but this still does not make up for the bad signings of Gomez, Drury, and Redden. it just shows that he has a little clue to what he has been doing. His trades haven't been the problem, its when he has cap room to spare after June 30th is the problem.

Who know, maybe he'll tear it up in Hartford if he goes down.
Rissmiller seems to be getting along fairly well.

Agreed - Avery at 2m/year is a lot different than Avery at 4m/year

I like Voros, I wish he signed for cheaper and would've found a steady role here, but just not a good fit anymore.

Avery @ 1.9 >>>>> Voros @ 1
That's really the way this buckles down in the end.
I'm sure Voros can find a spot on a roster somewhere.

I think someone takes him for their 4th line cause he is big and can crash the net
1 million is too much but it's not crazy for a team with cap space

Although I do feel bad for Voros since he was a Ranger fan growing up, sucks to be cut by your boyhood team

Hopefully Dolan is listening. Though I'm sure he's too busy destroying the Knicks to pay attention.
