Harding to Avs

with backstrom signed, I was just wondering what it would take to get Harding on the avs.. he seems to be a great young goaltender and I wanted to see what minny would want in exchange for him

Not sure about the Avs, but I'd imagine Minny would want a young forward going back along with a pick?

Done, as far as I'm concerned. (I like Svatos, but a good goalie in the system would really help).

But I don't see this trade happening because:
1) Harding isn't proven
2) They're in the same division
3) I don't think the Wild want what the Avs would offer.

I doubt The Wild do it. Maybe Hensick and a 4th.

If I were both teams I would do it......Avs need a freaking goalie. Have them take Raycroft back too

i would also do that trade.. but

1) harding hasn't really had a chance to prove himself, being the back-up in minny... what i have seen from him he has shown a lot of promise and is worth the low risk of svatos and a 4th
2) i agree with this part, but colorado has traded with calgary several times (although not recently)
3) this is what i was curious about.. not sure what the wild's needs were, but assumed it was offense.. and that is probably our most attractive area

Jim O'brien for Harding. Ottawa needs goaltending help and Harding just may be that guy.

Well, it's more, I think Colorado is in a semi-rebuild, I wouldn't say it's as bad as things are in Toronto, but we're still rebuilding some elements.... mainly because our goaltending has been horrid.

I don't think the Avs want to give up a top prospect (like T.J. Hensick or Chris Stewart) to get this deal done. Svatos is appealing because he is relatively expendable from a fairly deep Avs offense while still bringing speed and creativity to a Minnesota team that sorely lacks both (and will lack it even more if Gaborik signs elsewhere).... Though Pierre Marc Bouchard + Svatos might be one of the smallest lines in the NHL. Maybe they should trade for Gionta too .

Anyway, I just don't know if the Wild *want* another small winger, and I don't see the Avs giving up any of their other possible talent to make the deal happen, because while Harding has promise, he's not a lights out sure thing.

Also like Ottawa (hometown team), and I have to say no thanks.

Jim O'Brien is Ottawa's defensive conscience for the next 10 years.

True, but he is playing in the dub so that has to give O'Brien points in DR's book.

Anyone else think his value is being severely underrated...this guy has top 15 goalie in the NHL potential if he reaches it...but I might be alone in thinking that...

Isn't that just an above average starter?

Hensick? Wolski? Svatos+?

The Lupul idea intrigues me a bit...

As a wild fan personally now that Backs is signed we can bring up Schaefer for the back up position then Khudobin can be recalled from echl and he can be up in houston with Brust. As far as what we would take for Harding i would just care that we did a trade rather then who we got back in return...
