I think it's safe to say I can no longer get accurate reads of these games from our forum posts. It's just been that kinda season I guess.

Why snake, so you can say after Chairman Mo gets deposed again that you liked him and didn't want to see him go?

Srsly dude, this team could tank every game from now to the end of time, and Mo will still be coach.

Beating the Caps 5-1 the day before the deadline can't be too good.. now JR will think we're Cup favorites and will sell the whole farm for Guerin, etc.

Forslund isn't seeing the light. He pretty much saying give credit to the Canes for jumping on a disinterested team. He also mentioned that Poti was pulled in warm ups and the caps were sidetracked.

Good for Forslund not jumping off the failboat.

If Frolov for Williams or Antropov for Walker + 2nd is out there I take them. Otherwise I try to sell guys like Whitney, Seidenberg and LaRose to a contender in the last couple hours if I can.

The team needs a new dynamic. I wouldn't mind seeing Blanchard get a shot on the 4th line next year since he has size and a bit of touch, and I wouldn't mind seeing the team try to acquire a Steve Ott type presence to center the 4th line. Nasty is what this team needs and, aside from Conboy, Gleason and Walker (when healthy) are all they have.

Just watched NHL network highlights.

Pretty goals by Eaves and Cullen, but the one Semin scored was fantastic.

Same here. Just watched them and the 2 goals for Eaves were absolute snipes. Had no idea he had such a good wrister. Would have never known it from this year. Cullen's goal was pure patience and great vision. That flip in the neutral zone was my favourite part. A couple of posts that went the other way would have been nice but I'm not complaining. Have no idea how Semin missed that open net. Tripp says he doesn't miss many of those apparently , but he redeemed himself on that goal. Just fantastic. The shot might have looked kinda weak but to me it seemed like it was a bit of a bouncer in desperation and it just found it's way.

I found the interview with the Caps coach to be very interesting... My favorite line was that he was extremely embarrased with the celebration by his team when they scored their second goal at the end of the game. He didn't think that if he was sitting on the Canes bench watching, that he'd see much to be happy about! Go Bruce!
Anyways, I thought the guys showed up and played their tails off... Go rest up for friday boys!

On the postgame Forslund was saying that Cam has said that Eaves has the toughest shot on the team.

Put him on on the shootout. With a snipe like that, he's worth a try.
