I don't want draft picks.

If that was Regier's plan, then I'm definitely for it and I think that an apology thread for Darcy would be in order if he ever got Pronger to come here, though I'm not sure if the Mrs. would approve a move to Buffalo.

Bob McKenzie has reported something similar: Biron (with the Flyers going after JBo) or Fernandez to PHX, then being flipped--possibly to Buffalo. But he didn't specify on what pieces might be headed from Buffalo back to PHX. I trust Bob more than I do Bucky.

My thoughts exactly. He's a PK pillar and far more steady than most give him credit for. Yes, he's injury prone... but they were henious down a man without him.

And bringing in Biron? Is Miller really going on the shelf that long?

Hard to say. Ankle injuries are fickle.

But that Niles appears to be searching diligently for a goalie does not bode well.

A bigger issue is how long is Biron under contract for. I doubt Regier would want to carry 3 goalies on 1-way contracts next season.

I agree on Tallinder's value.

If (and thats a HUGE if) this deal ever took place. I would have to think its setting things up for another move and that Miller is out for awhile maybe the year. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

Interesting. I figured it was a tad longer, but I guess it has been a couple of years. He wanted to prove himself as a started and then cash in this summer... I wonder if he will??

Also, what does Philly have in goal after Biron?

the history of high ankle sprains for goalies says...YES. i thought we were all under the impression that Miller was done for the rest of the regular season

It's a helluva thing if they have to part with Tallinder AND eat Biron's contract in order to move Max's deal. Just freakin' waive him and if no one bites, assign him to Portland. If he fails to report, suspend him without pay.

Antero Niittymaki at the moment.

I don't even understand their need to dump his salary to begin wth. They only have about month left on his 3yr deal. Its a little late to worry about it now.

Obviously Philly wouldn't roll into a solid 4th seed playoff run with Nittymaki right...?? I think they'd def. then be in the mix to make a push and grab Harding, Khabibulin or someone...

Lindy says Miller is progressing. Don't underestimate the fact that Biron is loved by these players and even if Miller comes back. The team doesn't seem to be able to win for Lalime for whatever reason. Not to mention yes he had a good week...what if we start to score and he softens up?

Agreed. Just eat the last little bit -- waiving him should've been a move in August.

A caller just said they heard a rumor on a Canadian radio station of

TO CAL: Connolly, Tallinder, 1st
TO BUF: Cammaleri

doesn't seem realistic.
