I'm more concerned about what happens with Carey Price in the long-term. This all can't be good for him, and the Habs have all but pinned their future on him.

Well, at least they have Halak to hedge their bets.

Seriously i understand now why Gainey hired Laraque... He has the same mentality.. He waits for bargains.. He doesnt have the creativity to create his openings... You gotta be the one making things happen... The one who win makes the big moves... We dont.. Gainey cant dance alone.. So is laraque... I love the way edmonton created his opportunity to go and get Osullivan

agreed with Whitesnake's post

a d-man coach has to be one of Gainey's priorities this summer

If he ices another smallish, weak, pansy lineup, I'm all for him being replaced. But now? Because of 08-09 not working great and it not being a cup contender in the 5th year of a five year plan? Calm the **** down on that one.
that was because of Halak, not because we played that great and not because of Carbo either.

Habs seemed to lose this one in the first period, when they dominated, and the Sabres got the lucky bounce on their PP...to bad, the Habs seem to be very fragile right now...

Price couldn't do squat on the first two goals. As for the third, look at the mistake made by Breezer just before. The whole defense is playing bad tonight. It's just a bad game in the system....Let's move on...

They would have helped on both ends of the ice, for sure. Look, I didn't want a big name, just a useful player for down the stretch and he didn't even get that. As for the D, someone like Leopold or Havelid would have been great.

This team may have came out and had the most shots, but they weren't quality and no one around the net to bang in loose pucks or rebounds where a high percentage of goals are scored.

Our D looks like they are on their heels and not plyaing smart zone defense and the forwards aren't playing good either...what happened to that face off dominace?

Price has played well, sure it is 3 to nothing but in reality it should be maybe 1-0 or maybe Montreal should be winning, but this team doesn't play tight or score for Price like they do for Halak.

I think people have to wake up and don't blame this on Price, the team is flat after a hard first 10-15 minutes with nothing to show for it.

Any other RW than Kovalev in the league would have head-manned the puck to Plex or AKost. Why the **** is he allowed to do these sloppy useless turnovers that lead to scoring opportunity? AMAZING!

Thought of a new line combination..

MaxPac - Lappy - Higgins

Bit more speed and a shot that Kostopolous doesn't provide this line. Put Tangs with Koivu - D'ags or Lats when they get back, if Carbo isn't going to break up the ATAK line.

Are you kidding me?

Streit is making $4M a season. Brisebois, $700, 000. What do you expect?
