but not us....

I expect us to finish 8th or 9th... and if we miss the playoffs, everybody is gone from the president to the GM to the coaching staff to the 10 UFA players.
yeah everyone. All 10 UFAs? Give me a ****ing break. Quit with the Chicken little act. Sure we miss the playoffs the mess will be ugly but this "We need to fire everyone and the 10 UFAs will surely walk. Yep, then no one will sign here because of the media. We'll trade Price and he'll become the next Brodeur." Take a chill pill folks. This awful game does not mean the world is coming to an end nor does this disappointing season.

Its really quite simple, every year the deadline comes and go's, and every year we ice the same product we did the night before with lackluster results.

That must somehow be Kovalev's fault though?

I think some are underestimating the net effect of having a goalie play mediocre hockey. A great goalie is supposed to neutralize defensive mistakes, not exacerbate them. It's true that on each goal you can look at it and say it wasn't his mistake but is that what you want in a goalie? Is that the standard? It wasn't his mistake? We won 4 in a row because a goalie gave his team a chance to recover from mistakes and get into a rhythm.

Notice, Halak never put his team in a deep hole. He always kept the game close even when the other team was far better.

Higgins-Lapierre-D'Agostini
Stewart-Metropolit-Kostopoulos

You should coach the team, you lines are better then anything Carbo has put together ALL season.

No offense... it wasn't that hard!

IF someone blame Price for this loss, you are idiot!

We can't blame him on the 2nd goal from Roy, but the defensive play is horrible! They don't put any pressure on the puck carrier in their defensive zone.

Carbo needs to change gameplan. In the offensive zone, no problem there! But they need to change the strategy when they are in the defensive zone.

in Gainey we trust

"Gainey did not make a move because he's confident in his team". This is the same team that went 4-0 going into the trade deadline...he should have watched the game instead of the score as montreal let in a zillion shots. Defence was a problem before...it still is now.

this team wont make the playoffs. if it does it will be barely and they wont make it past the first round. Defense wins championships.

thank you Mr Gainey. Yes the guy made a move by trading for Schneider...one thing people seem to forget is he put his team in that predicament by not signing Streit during the regular season last year...

enjoy losing Koivu and Komisarek with your retarded no contract during the regular season rule Mr Gainey

You do know that there's at least 10 saves that Lalime made tonight that it would have been in the "It's not his fault Price didn't save it..." category?

People needs to make the difference between giving a really bad goal and making a great save to keep your team in it. You know type of saves Halak did a lot in the past game and that Lalime made tonight.

But clearly this kid is not ready to keep us during a whole season. If he's still injured and can't perform, he should have been put in a IR list so Gainey would have been able to get a Clemmensen before the deadline.

They piss me the **** off, but they've got more talent then they've shown. It just makes me angry how we have no heart. Why can't Saks get these guys to get up and play? We did more with less talented teams.

Our goaltender should not have to play out of his mind every game to even have a chance at banking two points, not that this is in any way Price's fault. Third was goal was weak however at 2-0 it was pretty evident what was happening... This teams consistency at pissing away strong starts is absolutely mind boggling.

Get A-Kost the **** off that line and put him with Koivu already, he has been invisible since playing with Kovalev again. Carbo's refusal to do so, how stupid can he be. It won't fix everything, but it sure hell couldn't hurt anymore.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Habs do finish out of the playoff's..Even if they do get in they might make it to 6 games in round 1....

AKost as been totally invisible again tonight....Get him away from Kovalev please.Carbo you moron....

yeah would be easier to buy into that if we didnt see Prices recent play.

tonight again his fault or not we see another 5 spot on the board.

it cant continue like this. its gone from a few game to an alarming trend. 5 a night these are team killers.

-The Flyers got better with only Carcillo? They still have no G and their defense is weak (McLaren is a bandaid)!
-The Panthers got a little better... but they will fight for the 8th spot... nothing to worry about IMO
-The Sabres got better? How? They got Moore but they traded Kotalik... they will likely battle for the final playoffs spot with the Panthers
-The Penguins got a little better but let's not kid ourselves... Guerin is a solid veteran but he is not the power forward he used to be... Kunitz is a great addition... but they had to trade Whitney...
-The Canes got better? Williams out and Cole in seems like a lateral move to me in terms of production... especially considering the season Cole is having!

So what? The Habs got Schneider. We need to find the chemistry. Fans and media are crying about Jokinen and Antropov... two guys with ****ing attitude problems!

Here is how I see it:

The Bruins will win the Conference...

The Caps and the Devils will battle for the 2nd place...

The Habs will battle with the Flyers for the 4th place (the Flyers will likely finish 4th IMO)

The Rangers and the Penguins will battle for the 6th place (giving the edge to the Rangers)

The Panthers and the Sabres will battle for the final spot

And so on...

Stop the whining guys... give the team a chance!
