good return for Pahlsson, I like Wiz, wish the Bruins picked him up.

Interested to see if Kontiola can stick in the NHL or not.

As a Ducks fan, I like the trade, too. Pahlsson is a terrific defensive center and excellent faceoff man. He should help the Hawks a lot come playoff time. That said, he's an Unrestricted Free Agent and the Ducks had a slew of UFAs. Getting Wisniewski is a nice return, especially when Pahlsson might've walked for nothing this summer.

He still has Mono though doesn't he? When is he supposed to return?

As a Hawks fan, I really like this trade. We get rid of an out of shaper whiner in Konti, and get the shutdown 3rd line center we need.

Sucks to give up Wiz, but I mean, we can't keep everyone.

Ducks fans will be happy with Wiz. He'll fight and adds some grit on the blue line.

Good trade for both teams.

Walked away?

I would have kept God no matter what. Bye bye glory days...

The Hawks fans will love Sammi for sure.

Most intriguing "under the radar" move of the day, IMO. And I like it A LOT for both teams.

Give Tallon credit - he is not moving his core young talent. And Pahlsson fills a specific need and is playoff tested (though I still think the Hawks are a bit soft for the postseason, as currently constituted).

Ducks made some nice, modest pickups today.

The actual deal is Pahlsson, Logan Stephenson and a 2009 conditional pick for Wisniewski and Petri Kontiola.

Ducks are going to like what Wiz brings to the table.

Tallon got exactly what we needed.

If Kontiola gets to play in the NHL, they should try him out with Teemu. He might just be a suitable type of center for him. This should be a huge motivational boost for Kontiola, he was getting really depressed with the Hawks, not having much chances of playing up and having the likes of Toews and Kane ahead of him.

The Hawks are that much better, great move.

Wiz is a whiner playing on one leg, dont see this interfearing with the Hawks defense now that Barker has stepped up into the third best defenseman on the team.

The Hawks biggest need, faceoffs was adderessed by dealing from depth, and giving up practacly nothing, a healthy scratch and a huge flop in Konti, lol.While Wiz was a decent middleweight, the Hawks have plenty of punching bags to pick up the slack.

Flapjacks grade;

Hawks= B
Ducks= C

Wisniewski is a good player, but wow... Bolland and Pahlsson. Can anybody score against the Hawks now?

Great deal for both teams. If Pahlsson returns to form and I don't just mean because of the mono...

I'm having a hard time believing that Gillis couldn't come up with a more enticing package than Wisniewski, we could've desperately used Pahlsson on our third line. Oh well.

Exceptionally good trade for the Hawks.

Ducks will like Wiz, but Kontiola was flopping in Chicago.

Tallon trained under Murray in Chicago. This was a "buddy-buddy" deal.

Not saying it's a bad or anything just two friends making a deal.
