Nope. No new moves... just the skate really fast on the right side and the cut to the middle.

I should tell you tho that he's now unofficially the fastest player ever to play the game after skating the lap in 13.1 seconds in the Oilers' skills competition. He beat Cogliano who ended up winning the competition in Montreal.

Another positive, the Erik Cole button in NHL 09 will now be a lot more handy when I'm playing with the Canes.

Our attendance has been pretty damn good lately hasn't it? I am pretty sure we had a little sellout streak a while back. But a Friday night game against a Canadian team we rarely play, yeah I would say it is a sellout.

It's sad to see Williams go. He was an all-heart guy who could do everything for this team. But damn am I happy to see Colesy back wearing the proper uniform. I'm sure his return will boost Staal's confidence and they'll rekindle that old chemistry they had

Per NHL.com, 18,108. So very close, but not quite a sellout.

Ditto that. We almost saw the chemistry rekindled about 40 seconds in, except for McIlhenny's save on Staal. Glad to have Erik back, sick about the way we had to do it, but thats hockey I guess.

Kaberle is now the only remaining goal-scorer from 2006 SCF G7.

Well, there were only three of them...

And I would just like to say that I appreciate Erik Cole.

I would like to say that I'm happy that my Erik Cole jersey I bought on closeout is now actually relevant.

Really??? I'm under the impression that teams from Canadian cities are considered largely irrelevant to American hockey fan bases. That isn't meant as a cut, btw, more so an observation of what I thought were "typical" attendances for games south of the border that see a visiting Canadian team play - particularly in markets considered as less "traditional".

So, a visit by the Oilers to Atlanta, or the Sens to Raleigh is likely to bring in an at least average crowd? I can see the snow birds coming out in Phoenix or Tampa, but your suggestion is otherwise a pleasant surprise.

I don't know about Atlanta, but when Sens or Toronto coming to Raleigh it is almost always sell out or very close. There are a lots of transplants from north and from eastern parts of Canada living in this area.

Game ended about 500 people short of a sellout.
