LA trading one of their better scorers for an injured Justin Williams can only help the Stars cause in this game... hopefully Morrison proves to not be completely useless, anything positive he does is a gain. He has the talent, he has played well in the past and should be a 20 goal guy. Maybe the combo of coming off of offseason surgery and poor chemistry in Anaheim did him in. There is definitely the possibility he can find chemistry here
Either way, don't see how what they did helps them at all.
And I'm not dumping on Los Angeles. God knows they'll probably beat us with Sydor still out there.
I was more annoyed by Razor. When LA wasn't good, they embarrassed Dallas. Now, I believe they're a good team. Plus, Jack Johnson is healthy.
FYI, I think Justin Williams is an amazing player that's dealt with some freak injuries like Morrow. If he comes back healthy in mid-March, he could really help the team make a strong push for the playoffs. If not, next year's top line for LA could be one of the best in the league. Williams is a PPG - 30G guy, and he's only 27. Long term, this could be the best trade at the deadline.
EDIT: Patrick O'Sullivan isn't that great IMO either. His holdout stunt at the start of the year was just the beginning of the end with LA, and it's not like this move even put a small dent in their pool of talented young players.
Haha yeah sorry, I probably just saw one of you guys type it and typed it by accident. I think Prime ticket and FSN West are different, one for hte ducks and one for the Kings. I can't quite remember, having to listen to Brian Hayward is too much punishment either way.
Also they didn't Trade OD because they'd have to give the Ducks would get a 3rd round pick (I think?) in return.
And honestly, who cares if the Stars wear their third? They're boring and they suck, much like the other two in comparison to the jerseys that predated them.

LA is more than talented enough to beat Dallas. For the first time in forever either Quick or Ersberg is also good enough to steal a game.
Honestly it depends on how Dallas plays. They show up like Tuesday they can absolutely win. If they are flat or the kids Neal and Bruno don't play well then they'll probably lose.
Quite frankly the rest of the Stars' season will depend on those two wingers. I expect good things out of Ribs and company but Neal and Bruno are going to have to show up for this team to win 11 more games down the stretch. We'll see how it unfolds but those two and Eriksson are the key.
You're probably right HF, and that's exactly why we'll miss the playoffs. If you're relying on two rookies to complement your regulars you're probably screwed, and we are. Unless Morrison finds huge chemistry with some of them I just don't see it. Modano loves it at the tank, and most of me thinks he'll go back to sucking like usual anywhere else.
For the record Quick has had an ugly string of games lately, and I'm guessing Ersberg will be pumped to start after signing his new contract. Although he totally got ripped off and deserved more, but whatever. If I made 750K a year I wouldn't complain too much.
