Couple of points on the thread, the reason i believe there are so few games broadcast (~60 think you said) is we have so much competition for the Fox channel(s) in So-cal. Even though we have 2 (fs west and fs Prime ticket), there is USC/UCLA: football, men's/women's basketball, 2 NBA teams, and 2 baseball teams and all of these for the most part get to trump the Kings if they conflict.
We've got the same thing here, but I'd argue it's in even bigger numbers with FSSW, and that's the only Fox Sports channel covering this area. The Stars have teamed up with a local channel to, essentially, broadcast the games FSSW can't (I know 'My27' would argue with this characterization), so it begs the question why the Kings haven't. Sure, there's the Ducks which might do that, therefore restricting what the Kings could do, however there has to be a few local non-affiliates in the Los Angeles area to cover for two sporting events in one night. It's a bum deal.
