I think we'll see a convincing 4-1 win for our boys tonight. LGR!

What are you guys basing this off of? Listen, we all want this team to win, but even with the acquisitions of Morris, Antropov and Avery, we're still no better than 5th in the Conference.

Life is good again. Look at all the excitement in the GDT. And why not? ... They are a well rested team with a new coach, a new system, a couple of new players and Sean Avery returns. They are competing against a beaten down arch rival in game 1 of the remaining 18 games in the midst of fighting for a playoff berth in a tight playoff race.

Yup! This game has EPIC FAIL written all over it.

Still ....even though I can think of a dozen ways off the top of my head that this game could go wrong it won't. Hope springs eternal and Rangers win in convincing fashion. Playoffs or Bust!

With Jagr and Shanny gone, who on this team will be able to keep Avery under control? Drury? Gomez? It could very well be a free for all and with what Torts had to say about Avery a few months ago.....it may get ugly.

I think most of us are basing this off watching them play a different system than the Renney trap system. SAFE IS DEATH......

It has been 3 games. I like Tortorella and his system too, but this team just isn't that good.

The best defense is a good offense. The best offense is a 6'3" 230 lb monster who will actually eat your head. Om nom nom

Really looking forward to this tonight.

Don't care for Morris, but I hope Antropov does really well in NY.

4-2 win tonight.

I feel that Torts will keep him under control or lock him out. This is the type of coach Avery needs to get his act under control. Also, look at the couple weeks he was in Hartford, there was no Jagr or Shanny, and he was under control and the players up there enjoyed having him there and said he was helpful. I know it was only a short time, but still it shows he is changed somewhat, but still seemed to be the same on ice player he has been.

less than 3 1/2 hours to the drop of the puck!!!!

The scary thing is that I can't stop watching it.

And I hate fish.

I hope the team isn't taking the Isles as lightly as some of the posters in here are.

That said, we win 6-2 tonight.

Man, even if the Isles play their hearts out, I can't see them beating any team with that line up. Watch them score 3-4 goals anyway.
